“I’m only being nice for today because it’s been forever since I’ve seen your nerdy face.” Adara replies, folding her arms. “…There’s no need for that really, thanks. As long as you eat leftovers, I guess that’s good enough for me. Oh, and what happened to the nickname ‘Bitch-sama’? I liked that one.”

At the mention of his old nickname for her he drops dramatically to his knees and bows so low that his forehead touches the floor. “O great an’ noble Bitch-sama, it is only through yer kindness an’ mercy that this lowly tonbi is able to fill his empty belly and sleep safely through th’ night. How’s that?”

“I hope you’re blandly joking and not actually that stupid.”

“Mebbe I am stupid but at least I don’t got bad taste in hats.”

“Yeah, sure. Snooze away on it for tonight,” the woman says, waving a hand. “…And I probably wasn’t going to eat it later but whatever.”

“まあまあ、Adara-san is kinder than I remember.” Especially considering that he’s borderline invaded her house. “I’ll hafta remember t’ do something nice fer ye.”

This little guy was sent home with me to release soon, but he has also been presented with the opportunity to become a falconry hawk. My local falconry group has expressed a lot of interest in him, so we’ll know soon! 😃

“GET OUT OF MY FRIDGE, YOU LIL SHIT.”

“Oh, an’ I heard it’s gonna rain tonight so ye think I kin sleep on yer couch?”

“But not unless I get there first to block you.”
