Big thing I’ve noticed is that shitty people tend to assume everyone else is as shitty as them, but that they believe it’s fine when they do it and DIFFERENT when OTHER PEOPLE do it to THEM

For example, remember in Mean Girls when Regina complimented a girl’s skirt and then, as soon as she walked away, started mocking the girl’s “fugly” skirt? I’ve met people who do shit like that and guess what, whenever someone pays them a compliment, they assume that the second they walk away, that person is mocking them for the exact thing they complimented. I’ve never once seen someone like this be self-aware enough to make the connection between “their fear that people are doing that to them” and “the fact that they regularly do that to people”

You will never meet someone more paranoid that their partner is going to cheat on them than somebody who regularly cheats on their partner. That person will never, ever understand that The Thing They Do and The Thing They Don’t Want Someone To Do To Them are the same thing

these are the things that need spread. not fucking ribbons and the words “breast cancer awareness.” we know it exists. just knowing it exists isn’t going to help much.

Also amab people as well! While it is rare, people who are amab can develop breast cancer too, because even though it’s thin [in some cases] you still have breast tissue, just not mammary glands, which is what produces milk :-O

not 2 sound whiny but i wish more attention was given to the importance of art and literature and philosophy and other humanities again so they'll return to being a really great part of what shapes a decade or an era instead of being seen as useless because they don't fit into the capitalist ideal of a productive society
