Her reflection in the mirror looked amazing. Having fed recently, her skin looked clear and fair, her stomach was full but her belly flat, her hair was flowing and shining. Everything looked perfect, Hyosung knew that. She had no doubt that she could get anything she wanted today. She dressed in a crop top and shorts matched with gladiator sandals, she was definitely showing off. All of this just to go to the smoke shop, seemed too much but Hyosung wanted to peacock. Plus, she was hoping that after the smoke shop she’d be going somewhere. She runs a hand through her hair,and made a kissy face at her reflection. That was that.

Hyosung turned around, grabbed her purse off of the bed and headed for the door. It was cool outside and yet Hyosung felt fine. She started her walk towards the smoke shop, she was quicker than humans and it was one of her favorite things that came with being full (aside from her beauty).She was at the shop in no time and as she walked in, she couldn’t keep the grin from her face. Every time Hyosung came by, she happen to find the same cashier. She was definitely a regular and half of it had to do with her.

The girl at the register was beautiful. Hyosung’s standards were women weren’t high by any means-she just enjoyed women but she definitely knew who was attractive and who wasn’t. This girl was gorgeous and she wasn’t human. As Hyosung walked in she noted that the girl was the only one in. She gave her a quick glance and then started looking at some pipes, wondering if she should actually go through with it. What if the other girl turned out to be an angel? She’d be in some deep shit. Hyosung shook that thought. It’d been awhile since she encountered anyone in the heavenly army. Impulsive as ever, Hyosung makes her way to the register with a glass pipe, a deep blue one, the first one she got her hand on. She sets it in front of the other girl and wastes no time in beginning conversation.

she had been working a lot lately, just about everyday in fact, because one of the employees was on vacation. only a handful of people worked for the shop and eunbi couldn’t really understand why that was but she went with it. it was more hours for her anyways and more hours meant more money and more money meant she was one step closer to getting a large tub for better swimming. she had been saving up for a few months and was very close to reaching her cash goal.

once she clocked in it felt as though time had flown by with the young girl manning the store and helping with any customer that may enter through the door. things were beginning to slow down and eunbi stood in her place behind the cash register, twirling the ends of a strand of hair and attempting to blow a bubble with her gum. bells sounded through the store in the next second, “hello~” the girl straightened up and greeted the customer in a cheerful voice. hyosung had become a regular and eunbi wasn’t gonna lie, she got pretty excited when the girl came in. she was so friendly and eunbi also enjoyed checking her out on the low, it’s never a crime to check out pretty women right? besides eunbi really just wanted to be her friend.

all that cheerful music from a few blocks away still hadn’t left her and the harmonious tunes still managed to creep inside her ear even after her long stroll away from there. going around for several days… months without her original form and walking on two feet got fairly tiring. ursula planned her destination right on the spot, a place not too far out of fabletown - where the water was obviously. it was a place of comfort, to enjoy the fish swimming around in the water with no awareness of the monsters that swim underneath, not even mermaids themselves unless they lived in the underwater kingdom.

in this case, of course they would have heard of her but maybe some needed a reminder, that’s all. the fishes weren’t swimming very close were they? maybe they detected her presence from above the water and swam away like the cowards that they were; but they were smart to stay away from her if they didn’t want to get shot down by her magic.

the water bubbles as she would notice from a glance downwards and with her quick arm, she reaches out under the water to successfully grab the fish by its stomach, pulling it out from its habitat. the small creature flops around back and forth, attempting to release itself from her grasp but failing miserably and it was sad really. but before she could throw the fish back to where it came from, ursula detected presence coming from behind while attempting to turn around to grab her attention and with the fish still within her grasp.

this day in particular the girl had visited a secluded area, where fish liked to play and the girl could sit and speak to them, as well as herself, and just think on things as well as meditate. she decided to leave once she finally felt herself back in her peaceful state of mind and that was that. 

she had gotten a good distance away from the area she was in when she realized she was missing her lighter. sure she could easily get another one, but lighters were important to her and she was also running low. she stopped to check her bag as well as her person but eventually came up with nothing and turned to head back. she thought to herself, ‘is a lighter really worth the journey?’ but then again she wasn’t too far away from where she may have left it and she had plenty of time, it was a free day for her.

the girl began to retrace her steps— or at least was she though was her steps back her previous destination. she always kept a sharp eye out for her violet lighter. it matched the front of the girl’s hair and had an iridescent peace sign on the front of it. the girl thought of it as some sort of lucky charm. she just always had it by her side. though as she got closer there was still no sign of the small item. soon she found herself looking at a pair of feet which slowly trailed up to a woman, possibly close to her age. she was pretty, but babbling about something that melody didn’t quite register. but she didn’t really voice her confusion out loud.
