I've been trying this year to not get caught up with what is popular and be confined to one particular style of music. It's a hard adjustment for sure but if I ever want to make my stuff legitimate I know I need to not care and just write what is real to me and what I want to play/hear. This goes into my cooking,writing in general,streaming and even photography. Anything artistic I decide to try I need to remind myself to just enjoy it and be proud of what I make.
