The vet clinic was taking out the trolls for a few hours to the park, some outside air to help them recover. Sure enough Gamzee was just sitting in the sun, watching his sleeping pups. When he heard something behind him he perked his ears and turned, bleating in surprise. Oh! He looked familiar. “?”

Gamzee quickly turned his head and began to wag his tail when he saw Sollux. He began to eagerly shuffle his hooves before he stood, and gently butt his head gently. But strangely enough he was doing it on all fours. Figure the humans would teach him to be more pet like. He sat again and licked his cheek, perking his ears happily. “friend!” He piped up, and caught his sons attention. The pup toddled over quickly, standing pigoen-toed as he snuffed his snout gruffly at Sollux before bleating at him, using his leg as a butting partner. For such a small yet thick pup, he had a hard head.

Sollux purred and butted his head back against Gamzee's lightly, klinking their horns together softly. "hey gz, how2 iit goiing? are the2e your pup2?" He asked, seemingly unbothered by the larger pup using his leg as a butting partner.

Gamzee left, running back to the humans obediently when they called him. They greet him with a gentle rub on the head before ushering him and some other trolls to the clinic van. He hopped into it and set his pups down, turning to peer at the window back at Sollux. He waved at him as the van door closed and pulled away.

The next day, in the afternoon like before, Gamzee was back in the park. The pups were awake this time. The largest one, a red blood, was tumbling in the grass after leaves and small gnats. His sister stuck close to Gamzee, trying to keep out of the sunlight. Gamzee looked around anxiously, hoping Sollux would show up…

Sollux just sat and watched as Gamzee left and once he was out of sight Sollux turned and left to go back home.

The next day Sollux reluctantly returned to the park. He didn't want to be around humans, but he did want to see Gamzee again. He was one of the few people that was really around anymore tht he could talk to. He watched Gamzee and his pups from a short distance away before cautiously approaching. "hey gz."

Gamzee sniffled and huddled himself into Sollux, nuzzling into his shoulder. For such a big and scarred up troll, he sure was a sweetheart at best. He began to purr and relax a bit, his trembling stopped. He felt better. Then he heard a human whistle, causing him to peek over at them. They were calling the trolls back. He frowned and pulled away from Sollux. “…” He didn’t know what to say. He couldn’t stay in the park. He had to go back. He picked up his pups and looked back towards the human than at Sollux. They always came to the park. So he’d see him again. “Bye…”

Sollux's ears perked up and he looked over when he heard the sharp sound of the whistle. He looked to Gamzee then, he wanted to get Gamzee away from the humans, but where could he take him? He couldn't do anything for this troll and his pups...
