When you see your grades....

When I take a step back from the business of my life, and really look at the people I call my friends, I notice that I am, in reality, all alone. When “friends” tell me they will always be there for me, but then leave for someone else, it feels like my life is being crushed under their feet as they turn their backs. They slowly force their way into my other friends life and convince them leave me stranded. I can no longer believe anyone when they say that they are here for me, because whenever they see me. The real me. They always leave. Although few may say that I am their best friend, they know it is not true. They know they abandoned me when I needed it. They know that they refused to talk to me when I was on the edge just thinking about taking the final step. They know that they have taken everything important to me and ripped it away. And yet they still manage to convince me that I am important to them. They bring me along to early morning trips to Starbucks, they text me funny pictures that they think I’d like. But once I truly need them they are gone. I need these times to look at my life and what has happened to it and how it has been taken away from. I need to know who are people willing to stand by me and help when I need it. And sometimes, that’s no one.
