Zwemmen is als zweven, boven het universum. Het is een soort voorproefje van hoe het is in een ruimteschip. Zwevend boven de aarde, alles lijkt zo klein, in het zwembad voelt het soms ook net alsof alles klein is als je erin zweeft drijvend op je rug. Je ziet het oneindige blauwe van de lucht. Een vogel die voorbij vliegt en de wolken die dan weer op een geit lijken en dan weer nergens te bekennen zijn.

Overdag leunt de zwaartekracht zwaar op je zodat je geaard blijft. Lekker aarden, down ward facing dog, ademhalen, je ademhaling door je lichaam sturen, denkbeeldige wortels schieten uit je voeten, ademhalen, stilstaan bij hoe je je voelt, ademhalen en accepteren, het allermoeilijkste. Dan denk je hoe kan 1 woord zo moeilijk zijn? Maar het kan.

Toch voelt het alsof ik vaker zweef, terwijl mijn voeten op de grond staan. Zweven heeft is onaantastbaar, iets mysterieus en dromerig, conflict vermijdend. Terwijl je met aarden eerder zegt ‘kijk ik sta middenin het leven! Ik maak het mee!’, bewustzijn, er zijn zijn, het conflict aangaan. Soms ben ik bang dat ik dat niet durf, dat ik liever blijf zweven, dromen over mooie dingen die oneindig ver weg blijven in de blauwe lucht.

Je kent ze wel

Ze zijn voor je moeder, je vriend, vriendje, de ouders van

Of voor iemand die je niet vaak ziet, maar graag dichtbij wil hebben

Ze worden ook weleens casual doorgegeven omdat het netjes is

Te laten weten dat je aan een ander denkt

In deze tijden kan de mens dat wel gebruiken zou je denken

Toch worden ze vaak vergeten

In de wandelgangen opgenomen door het andere geruis, gedruis van voetstappen

Of krijg je er opeens 5 tegelijk en wat moet je dan

Maar wanneer je weggaat en je de ouders van je vrienden aankijkt en het opeens te binnen schiet

‘De krijgt nog de groetjes!’
