Emilia’s had a few cocktails. The drinks were sitting well in her stomach, but she knows that she’s going to start getting hungry soon enough. So she finds her friend with the black hair, and sinks beside her. “Hey, hottie.” She grins, looking over Tilly. “You got he scoop on where a girl can find some snacks?” She purrs, then looks around. “I’m not ruining your moment, am I? If you help me find you some snacks, I can play wing-woman for you.” this was her assuming, of course, that Tilly was even interested in that.

The familiar voice caused a wide smile to form on her features, recognizing it was Emilia even in her inebriated state before she turned to look at the other woman. “My god you look amazing. I mean, you always look amazing but... damn. You’re tellin’ me that not a single person has simply offered you food when your ass looks like that?” Eyebrows raised in playful faux confusion, Tilly’s smile only widened into a grin. “But I’ve got you, babe. Follow me.” Pushing herself off of the bar, Tilly took Emilia’s hand into her own and began to weave through the crowd towards where she knew a table of food to be. “Ah, you didn’t ruin anything. I watch his dog when he and his husband are out of town. And to be honest, I hate meeting people at things like this, they always seem to expect me to dress like this whenever they see me next and end up disappointed when I’m in leggings covered in cat hair. I’d be more than happy to play wing-woman for you, though.” She mused, glancing back at her with a wink. 

TILLY: sooo... i swung by the station today and u weren't there

“i have been impatiently waiting all week to go ice skating.” marlow mused, the brunette practically bouncing up and down. they loved ice skating, and despite being all long gangly limbs, they were actually pretty good at it. much better at it than skateboarding, which was apparently a whole different ball game. “you’re going to come with me, right?” the bouncing was paused so that marlow could flash puppy-dog eyes at the other. “they have everything you need, coats and stuff. you have no excuse to say no.” another begging smile. “pretty please?”

“Mm, I think falling and flashing my vagina to everyone is an amazing reason to say no.” Tilly mused with a laugh, crossing her arms over her chest as she looked at Marlow. “Plus, I don’t have nearly enough clothes on to go out there. You’re going to have to do better than those adorable puppy dog eyes to convince me, babe.” Did Tilly mean what she said? Absolutely not, she herself had been itching to get outside, but it wouldn’t be fun if she gave in to Marlow so easily.

Anybody on the island that was anybody important was going to be at the Rockwater Charity Event, and Ophelia Wilson wouldn’t miss it. She’d spent the day pampering herself and a friend and was ready to party. Phil lifted the side of her long green dress train and stepped through the doors into the parlor, noting she’d arrived at the perfect time. While she noted the glances her way and the chatter that turned to a whisper as her heels clicked against the floor, she held her head up. Brown curls bounced with each step, sweeping off her exposed shoulders. Her eyes connected with another’s and she stepped their direction. “People act like I’m not supposed to show up places.” she said casually as she approached. “Maybe next time I’ll just show up naked and see which is worse.” Phil reached a hand out and grabbed a champagne glass off one of the trays as a waiter passed.

She’d been in search of something to nibble on when the hush had fallen over the entryway and her attention was pulled from her task to where everyone else seemed to be looking. She couldn’t help the laughter that spilled past her lips when she saw who had caused all of the commotion. “You know, the fact that they all got like this when you walk in looking like that, I could only imagine the scene you’d cause coming in naked. Though I can’t say I’d hate to see it.” Shooting her friend a playful wink, Tilly linked her arm through Ophelia’s and immediately began to lead her towards the bar. “I’m surprised you don’t have a beautiful schmuck on your arm. You flying solo tonight?”

She’d been on her way outside, ready to rent a coat and get in line for the snow tubes when she saw him.  Even in a room as crowded as this, Michael was easy to spot, his height and general gruff stature made him stand out. So she changed her path and veered directly for him, sneaking up behind him and playfully grabbing his sides. “So who’s the cute brunette?” She asked with a grin, moving to stand in front of him, hands on her hips as she tilted her head back to look up at him. “I’ve been trying to get your attention for at least a minute.” She’d attempt to look stern but she knew it’d do no good, so instead she glanced behind her then back to him once more. “But I know when to throw in the towel. You want me to go talk to her for you? I’m a great wingwoman.”

To say that Liam and Tilly’s friendship had been strained since New Years was an understatement. Perhaps it was pride, but there was also a deep rooted fear that he was too stubborn to acknowledge. A fear that after acknowledging his own feelings for his best friend after five years, that everything they had would drastically change. The fear had come to light, or at least with the way they still had yet to acknowledge it made it seem that way. Liam wanted to believe that he had done a good job of pushing it all aside and ignoring it, but as soon as he caught sight of her in a dress that muddled his thoughts, it all seemed to fade away and he was just relieved to be in the same room as her again. “You’re making a big comeback with that dress, Til. Might even edge me out for best dressed…your legs are gonna be cold later, though…’cause I know you can’t turn down drunken snow tubing.”

The sound of his voice was like music to her ears, after three long weeks of not seeing each other and not talking outside of sparse texts, Tilly had felt like she drowning. She hadn’t wanted to admit it of course, her stubborn streak running deeper than any logic could reach, but her body visibly sagged, relaxing as she turned around and saw him, a wide grin spreading across her features. The sight of Liam in the tux he was wearing the night they first met five years ago had a soft laugh leaving her lips and the usually chatty brunette momentarily speechless. “Like you ever had a chance for best dressed.” She finally got out, grin still plastered on her face as she moved towards him to straighten his tie. “I was hoping I’d be able to sweet talk someone out of their pants, you know? Think you’ll lend me yours so I won’t freeze to death?” She teased, tilting her head back to look up at him. “I’ve missed you.”

MICK: no

MICK: that really only translates to you being nosy

TILLY: uh, duh?? have you met me?

LIAM: I'd say a medium amount. You've been struggling without me, haven't you?

LIAM: I'm thinking burlap sack...I'm getting more into fashion and burlap is in. I might look too handsome for my own good if I go...not sure you'll be able to handle it.

“Spoil sport.” He was quick to comment. It’s ironic how you feel most alive when your heart skips a few beats. The man didn’t get a chance to snowboard as much as he wanted nowadays so when the opportunity arose it was something he didn’t want to stop. “Who knew you were the giving up type.” Remington mused, arching a brow very challenge like but he nodded. “If you buy the first round I may just agree.” However, he would agree to take a break regardless of the outcome. But if it meant getting a free drink then he was all for it. After he removed his own snowboard from his bindings and then unleashed them from his boots - the man stood and grabbed her hand to help her stand. “Just don’t expect me to carry you.” The man smirked ever so slightly.

“I grew up with three older brothers, you’re gonna have to try harder to guilt me into doing something I don’t wanna do, babe.” Sticking her tongue out at him as she laughed, Tilly took a moment to pretend to ponder his counter offer, making a show of feigning annoyance with his suggestion. “So all it took was asking to get you up here with me, but to actually spend some time with me I have to bribe you? Doesn’t sound right.” She teased, a pout of her own on her lips as she looked up at him, reaching down to undo her own bindings and set her feet free from the board. “I think,” She began, allowing him to help her up before she quickly moved and jumped up onto his back, “I deserve to be carried since I’m buying the first round.” Grinning, Tilly kept her grip tight on him so she didn’t fall down. “Besides, I’m light and can hold myself up.” She teased.

     “Well, it’s a nice filler for the gaping hole Ella left, is it not?” Mina smiled, probably a tad too wide, and hopeful that Tilly’s lack of an angry face meant that she was okay with it. Ella had left an absence in their apartment and while they had definitely understood their need to go back to New York and be closer to their sisters, it didn’t mean that they didn’t miss them. She reached the orange munchkin kitten and held her up to Tilly’s face, Rainbow licked her own mouth and meowed lowly. “Her name is Rainbow and I might have to might have not known her since last week, honestly, with everything being so crazy lately, it’s nice to come back home and cuddle with this cutie, right? You’re not mad, are you?” She asked her roommate a slight pout on her lips, still feeling a tad bit apprehensive about her reaction, truth be told, she didn’t know what she would do if she had to take care of Rainbow alone, but how could a cute face like that not completely disarm Tilly?

“I mean, nothing will replace coming out of my room for a midnight snack to find one of Ella’s hookups in the kitchen in one of their shirts but... this is better than nothing.” She joked, reaching out to take the kitten into her own arms and hold her close to her chest. “And she’s absolutely adorable. We’ve needed something furry around here for the longest time. I could never be mad... I think she’s perfect.” Gaze finally moving from the kitten her arms to her roommate, Tilly’s wide smile hadn’t faltered a bit. She loved animals and had always wanted to get a pet for the apartment, so she was glad Mina pulled the trigger for them both. “You think she’ll be okay with any of the other animals I bring home work?”

“Soooo, you hightailed it out of there about as soon as humanly possible,” Leo started, drumming his fingers against the counter. “Any faster and you would have left skid marks…”

“I did not hightail it out of there.” She countered, slight frown on her features as she looked over at her brother. “I had somewhere else to be and we were clearly done with the family festivities since Damon was sitting on dad’s lap.” She scoffed. “Not exactly what I want to see while trying to enjoy my coquito. How did the rest of the night go?”

     “Sure, but only if shots are the toast of choice.” Lydia picked another one up and took it, almost wheezing as twenty-five mil of pure gin raced down her throat. “Fucker—” She hissed, leaning out of the booth to shoot the bartender a middle finger, his response an evil cackle as she sat back up again. “I don’t like gin and he knows that.” Revenge was sweet and perhaps, she deserved such punishment after the trouble she almost got him in a few weeks back, but that was beside the point. Gin wasn’t an alcohol anyone should be asked to shot. “I have a little confession,” The woman shrugged as Tilly introduced herself. “I know your brother and for months, I have been trying to convince him to let us bump into each other. He wasn’t so keen.” She chuckled, sitting back and giving her a nod. “Yes, and no. I wasn’t on the list, but I snuck in and I actually quite like them. They don’t always have bands this good here, it’s a nice change.”

“Deal.” Tilly agreed with a grin, watching as Lydia took the shot, smirk coming to her features at the expression on the other woman’s face. Her gaze bouncing back and forth between Lydia and the bartender, a soft laugh escaping her lips. “Maybe he wants you to go over there and give him a piece of your mind. Seems like the type, you know?” Smirk still on her features, Tilly picked up another shot from the platter and downed it, nose crinkling slightly before she picked up her beer and took a drink from it. “Okay, or maybe he’s getting you back for something because that was gin, too. Did you kill his best friend or something?” Clearing her throat, Tilly’s attention was fully on Lydia as the words ‘I have a little confession’ left her lips. “Oh, do tell.” She grinned, head leaning against the back of the booth, expression only widening at Lydia’s words. “Wait which brother? Leo, right? Sounds like something he would do. Why wasn’t he keen on it? Was he afraid I’d tell you something embarrassing because... I probably will.”
