“Elena already had coming to her, it was circling her already. I did her a favor if you ask me.” Rebekah replies, brushing a hand through her long blonde hair. “I don’t sneak out in the middle of a night, only tramps do that.”

“And i could say the same for your brother. We all have a list of reason’s we use an excuse to explain what we did. Or I could just say i’m sorry. And we could... stop all this.”

Hayley lifts a brow as her birth name is spoken, at this point she was used to people knowing it – especially here. “I don’t really live up to the name, but yeah – that’s me.” When she first found the pack, or rather them her, it was a lot to take in. Being some lost royal, betrothed since birth, orphaned as an infant. “She’s having a rough day, I want to say it’s because she misses Jackson but I don’t know if she understands that yet.” She pulled her shoulders into a shrug, “But otherwise she’s good. I’ve missed her. So, what’s your name?”

He smiled softly at her words. “Well that’s the thing isn’t it? That you don’t have to live up to anything. I can tell you without a doubt that your parents weren’t prefect. Flaws like everyone else. Only the foolish would think you wouldn’t come with them too. Plus you are doing better then anyone could have expected. Wanting to be alpha. Saving everyone here from having to turn. That’s not something just anyone could have done.” He took a sip of his beer and looked out to the water. “Honestly I’m not sure anything.. The life i had before i died. It feels to fair away to grab at the moment. They try. All of them. To say nothing has changed but-” he chuckled softly. “You being here just proves that isn’t true.”

“Your positivity is admirable, and one of the things I love.” Katherine admitted to him. She was more pessimistic than she use to be learning what she is. A doppelganger. Her whole eternity revolved around looking out for herself. “You are a good brother. Klaus took advantage of that time and time again. It’s only natural to want to believe there’s still good in family.” That was probably the nicest thing she commented on Klaus since she was human. She didn’t know him or Elijah before they became vampires. Just like the Salvatores’ didn’t know her before she became a vampire. “How long do you think redemption would last for likes of the two of us?”

‘ you do realize that hope is klaus’ daughter? the same klaus that haunted me for more than five hundred years, the one who slaughtered my entire family and i couldn’t even get to search properly my own daughter because of him? i couldn’t care less, whether hope has her mother back. unless, you have something better to offer me than my willing heart.’

“And then someone killed your daughter. Because of you. Because you were all the same things that klaus is. Are you going to blame another child for actions of their parents or are you going to be better then that? Now do it before this becomes me not asking.”

“I don’t think you want to talk about our history, you killed my brother and all.” Rebekah replies but nodded. “I happen to have an appreciation for hunters and you aren’t half bad looking.” That was as close as he was going to get to a compliment from the blonde. “As long as you remember that I have a mean streak I think we can get along for a night. Don’t you Jeremy?”

“And you killed my sister,” he reminded her. “So lets just not think about it.” He smirked. “Yeah and you are gorgeous. So there is that. But if it makes you feel better you can sneak out in the middle of the night if you want.” 

‘ you forgot that i don’t have a heart, elijah. yourself said that before you left.’ she picked the words wisely before she placed her hands across her chest and then smirked almost devishly before the original. ‘ but i can do it. only if you offer me something or to accept my own offer.’

“I never said you didn’t have a heart. I wouldn’t have fallen for you if you didn’t have a heart. But you want to act like you don’t have one and punish a little girl then that’s your choice.”

“I don’t think your father or mother would have let you stop them.” Katherine had only met Mikael. He was an aggressive man. It didn’t take a scientist to see how Klaus turned out the way he did. “You can’t protect everyone, Elijah. Klaus is going to do, what he’s going to do. Whether he takes your advice or not.” One wrong opinion, and his siblings were put in coffin. “Maybe your right, but it’s five centuries too late for that.” It was no use dwelling on the what could have’s. They were in the here and now. “You only think you don’t because Klaus put in your head you’re not suppose too.”

She listened to what he had to say, surprised at what he was offering. Something that strangers didn’t offer hardly ever it happened. “I’d love that, thank you” she told him referring to his offer on meeting his doctor friend. Since they have been walking and talking, she didn’t notice that they were on her street, her house being at the very end. “True but I find being able to walk clears my head” she explained stopping once they got to her home. It was a small one bedroom house that was painted white and it wasn’t very modern or new looking. But it was all she could afford and she didn’t want to move into an apartment, just wanting her privacy and not to hear her neighbors.

‘ pathetic.’ she simply said, her eyes twitching and showing the endearing hatred he had for the mikaelson brother, despite the affection she had for him in the past. ‘ sorry, but no deal. oh and by the way, you’l be happy to know that your precious hayley hasn’t really moved on. ‘

“If you have the power to do so, then you will do it katerina. Do you understand me. You will not let another child be raised without their mother. Do you hear me?”
