Kupała is a summer solstice celebration in the Slavic religion. On June 20/21. Kupala Night is filled with rituals involving water, fire, and herbs. Most Kupala rituals take place at night. It was also believed that on this day the sun frolics and other natural wonders occur. The celebration takes place near water, on hills, and is attended by young men and women.
