Haha, yeah I'm alive! Just whenever I have energy now I kinda need to spend it on finding and maintaining work! Being self-employed sucks but I don't really have any choice, the animation industry in the Netherlands is too small for it to be any other way.

Also been kinda dealing with depression but it's ok, I'm getting help so no need to worry about me! Once I get better y'all are sure to see more of me again <3

And for your question, when I want to try out something different, a lot of the time I have references with me with the type of style I want to try out. That way I can stay focused as I draw, otherwise I slip way too quickly into old habits. Even then, I still believe it's very recognisable when I've drawn something, as my own default style still bleeds through a lot.

And of course drawing a lot also plays a big part. I don't really master different styles super quickly. A lot of things I've been doing for a while now, I just like mixing things up every other time. Different modes of TurtleFlurple if you will.

So yeah. A lot of it is looking around and keeping track of what you like, studying it, and trying it out every once in a while. Slowly you'll build up your own arsenal of different drawing modes.
