Hello and sorry for the delay! I don’t remember the exact fabric I use but anything that has structure to it like cotton twill is always a great place to start! Basically you should unroll a bit from the bolt and then see if it keeps its triangle drape, that’s a good choice for the very triangular Journey costume!

I’m sorry if this answer is horrendously delayed. I just wore red tights, some shorts and a tshirt! I even kept my purse under.

Wow, I am so sorry if this is a late reply, I never got notifications. For the blue, it was 100% cotton twill, nice and heavy and crisp. Gold embroidery was a gold, metallic satin that I would 100% not recommend, it was fiddly and frayed way too easily. The white undervest was some sort of satin as well, which was okay for that purpose. As far as patterns go, I used Simplicity Costume 4923 (it’s the one with Pirates of the Caribbean) and I heavily modified that. Good luck!
