Which is so fitting considering how desperately movie Michael wants to be like dad

mike schmidt seems to be the one more heavily based in what we've seen of game!michael's personality from the security logbook, as well as the one effected by the loss of a little brother. he's very dry, very tired, and often feels like he's the only sensible person in his whole mess. michael afton seems to be a way of exploring game!michael's familial trauma. the man his father could have or possibly DID turn him into. and by making them different characters, we can more easily analyze what could be going on in game!michael's head throughout the series, while also being able to push these two to extremes that wouldn't fit quite right if they were the same guy. there's no conclusion to this post i just really really like this choice and am FASCINATED by what they're going to do w/mike and michael
