when clary came to outside she was cold, alone, and crying for a reason she didn’t understand. She was in a nice dress and heels with her hair and makeup done and couldn’t remember why. She was Cinderella but instead of her beautiful clothes disappearing at midnight her memories left her in an instant. She probably tried to go home to find the antique shop had been rented out by some hipster thrift store and a “for rent” sign in the loft window. Her mother was gone. Her father was gone. Her best friend was gone. Her best friend’s family was gone. She had no where to go. No one to turn to. She probably kept walking all by herself late into the night. Maybe stopped at a 24 hour diner to get off the street. She didn’t have clothes or another pair of shoes to change into. She didn’t have a jacket. It’s early November in New York City she was probably freezing. She spent a year trying to make sense of these ghosts inside of her. Faint emotions tied to memories she couldn’t reach. She’d catch moments where something would start to solidify–a name, a face, a room with large stained glass window– but it would always run right through her fingers. 

Can we also talk about the fact that Clary LITERALLY suffered in silence as she lost her memories, as her runes faded away, so that she wouldn’t ruin the Malec wedding?

My anger isn’t directed at Malec as a ship. They’re great. They brought so much needed representation to the show AND Freeform. I wanted them to have their happy ending.
