genuinely we need to start executing the people who decided to make chromebooks the new thing
-cheap shitty laptop, locked into running only google services
-directed towards children/schools because of the control it allows teachers over what children can do
-leads to the loss of any computer education other than how to use google drive
it is truly unacceptable that chromebooks led to the dissolving of computer classes. when i was in elementary school I was taught how to browse files, verify if downloads or websites are trustworthy, install and modify programs, and even to use the windows 7 command line.
Not a single kid is getting this education now because google wanted to milk profits out of schools being underfunded and prioritizing internet censorship over practical education.
We were using Windows 1995, 1998 and 2000 when I had computer classes, and it was wonderful.
