I wish they kept the original plot line where misty was obsessed with Jackie instead of Ben, it would've been way more accurate to her character and it would've also brought misty and shauna closer. Shauna and misty have a really estranged relationship which makes no sense to me as misty helped shauna deliver her baby and in the adult plotline she helped cover up her murder amongst other things. I think that if the two of them were friends and worked together there was no way the group would've gotten off the island.

underrated yellowjackets scene is misty storming through the door of nat‘s hotel room while nat is mid-relapse, bodyslamming nat into next week, just fucking snorting all the cocaine before nat can get to it and then fighting for her fucking life because, evidently, misty quigley has never done cocaine ever before. zero thought process, zero consideration, zero alternatives. misty quigley woman of all time.

fuck bro. van's story gives me so much sadness. she grew up an accident in a shitty trailer with an abusive mother as a lesbian in a small town in the 90s. found companionship in her soccer team, but was stranded in the woods where she was forced to do unspeakable things and keep it secret. gets broken up with by the love of her life who ends up gay anyway. right back to her mother. grows up, gets away, ends up alone in Ohio running a video store that doesn't pay the bills. mother dies. all her friends are still in Jersey. gets terminal cancer. the love of her life comes back and it's....great. it really is. best friend dies from an involuntary fentanyl overdose after actually trying to be sober. nobody shows up at her funeral. her cancer gets better! she can actually have the life she always wanted, it'll all be okay-- her cancer comes back. worse this time. she has weeks, maybe days to live. sacrifices need to be made. and instead of being surrounded by her loved ones in a hospital bed, she dies with a knife in her chest on the living room floor of someone who faked her death 25 years ago. and the worst part? this was always how it was going to end. van was never going to make it out of here alive. never happy. this is how our story ends. alone and pathetic and sick and dying, just like how she felt growing up. this is all there is, and all there ever will be for her.
