can i ask what brushes you use digitally? i have 0 idea if you've been asked this before so im asking now lol
Hi anon! I mostly use Clip Studio's default brushes. I do occasionally try out custom brushes but I always fall back to using the default set.
For drawing I usually pick the design pencil (this one was deleted in an update so I had to reupload it from the clip studio assets here). For inking I mostly use G-pen or textured pen and for painting I tend to use a mix of the round mixing brush, gouache and oil paint.
These two are so funny.

Been playing Hades II so of course I needed to draw Hypnos again.

Digging through RD supports over at Serenes Forest. For some reason royals and other characters with titles are much more likely to be adressed with unique support lines. An odd choice, but it does give us some fun unique lines between people who otherwise wouldn't talk to one other.

Little painting experiments with Ulki.
Your Molly and Schmendrick designs have me in a CHOKE HOLD!!!! The Last Unicorn is my FAVORITE BOOK and your art is magnificent ✨✨✨ What a day to be alive!
Aaaa thank youuu! ❤️
Your art's so delightful! Where did you learn to draw anatomy so well? It's all so dynamic and lively
Got any favorite tools or tips you can share?
Thank you! This is actually a bit of a surprise to me, I never considered anatomy one of my strong points. I'm guessing the croquis classes helped, haha!
Here are some of the tool I use:
Quickposes: Timed gesture drawing tool, great for practise.
TrueRef Gesture Tool: Similar to Quickposes
Posemaniacs: A collection of rotateable 3D models doing various poses. A 3D model is never as good as a photo, but being able to rotate them to any angle is a big help.
Referenceangle: A tool for finding reference photos of just the right head angle.
Shutterstock: This where I usually go look for references these days because search engines kind of suck now. Just remember to set the search filter to "photos".
The search engines that kind of suck now: One of my favourite ways to practise dynamic poses is drawing from photos of olympic sports. (Steeplechase is a good one, you get a variety of different poses, often in the same image.) This is one area where Google/DuckDuckGo image search is still better than stock photo sites. One thing I've noticed is that you'll get you'll get better search results if you include the word "olympics" in the search.
As a general tip, I'd say it's better to draw a rough sketch before searching for any references at all, to get a better idea of what excatly it is that you want out of your composition and expression.
Originally this post was supposed to be just the top image with the comment "I have no context for this". Then I remembered that I can just make up context for the things that I draw and God is powerless to stop me.
I just wanted to say that your art has motivated me to buy and read the Last Unicorn (: I'm about halfway through and I'm loving it!
Ahhh that's so awesome to hear! I'm happy to have been of service!

Have some Schmendrick too.
I love Molly Grue.
I read the Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle recently. What a good book! This was one of my favourite bits.

Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, JOLENE
Watching a playthrough of Phantom Hourglass in the background while drawing the previous piece made me want to draw Linebeck again for the first time in 800 years.
(The first one is sort of a redraw of a very old piece of mine that does not exist anywhere anymore. The original joke might be lost to anyone but me but I choose to present this wihtout context regardless)
