It's almost 2 am and I'm rewatching an edit of Miles and Alex with the song "mystery of love" and I'm crying and my headphones are wet and I'm a mess and I don't know what to do with them. Mystery of love alone makes me cry, what do you expect me to do when miles and alex are involved too? And the fucking edit starts with the low quality video of them introducing themselves back in 2008, the one that goes "hi I'm Miles Kane, And I'm Alex Turner.... But together... We called ourselves...the last... shadow puppets" and they're so fucking adorable in that video I can cry for it ALONE. And when the song reach to the line "Alexander's lover" the camera goes from Alex dreamy staring at Miles, to Miles... LIKE HOW DID YOU EXPECT ME TO REACT??? AND the editor had the audacity to end the video with Alex and Miles leaving the stage in their last gig in Rock en Seine.... dude.... This should be illegal.

I hate the editor. I hate this song. I hate this fandom. I hate these two. I hate everyone.

The Ultracheese has got to be one of the most intimate songs in the album—vulnerability, outrageously more provocative than nudity itself. It's genuinely a masterpiece, yes, but it's the kind of song Alex'd probably sing in private, and you just happened to pass by his study or summat—but regardless, I'm glad they'd put it in; it made the album more... human? After a series of tracks full of champagne bubbles with the detached attitude of a Hollywood starlet... It's definitely, definitely the cherry on top; it just ties it all together.
