my tailcoat commission is complete 🙏🏼 was asked to make a formal bill cipher design that had a gold galaxy pattern on the lining and the lapels of the tailcoat. didn't find a high quality fabric like that so I hand dyed some silk habotai to achieve that effect. tailoring was around 45 hours and roughly 150 swarovski crystals put in as the stars 💪🏼

if you make one false move, I'll kill you. My Twelve cosplay. Watched Zankyou no Terror last night and fell in love. Excuse the inaccuracies, I'm only wearing what I could find in my house.

Some (more) pictures from Japan Expo, Paris.  Unfortunately not a huge number of people know it, but there’s a wonderful competition called ECG (European Cosplay Gathering) and we were lucky enough to represent the UK in 2013. We’re huge fans of LOTR, but the cosplays took a ridiculous amount of dedication. Everything here is handmade. Just a small insight into the processes included; 20, 000 hand woven rings which I painstakingly linked to then embroider with gold wire and embellish with swarovski crystals to make Frodo’s Mithril. The Witch King had six layers of black silk and linen robes which I individually designed to fall and move under him, one of which was covered in detailed hand embroidery, another with silver and silk embroidered trim, and every layer hand weathered. I tried my very best to match the fabrics and even finishings on all of Frodo’s clothes. Both our prosthetics were made by us (my ears & feet hair and the Witch King’s ‘twilight wraith’ full head mask) out of latex. Not forgetting the huge amount of work that Clood put into the beautiful armour, crown, helmet, greatsword, morgul blade, mace, eleven brooch, Sting and the light of elendil (both of which lit up) which was also made by hand and she painted herself.  The whole Witch King costume was made (reversable robes) so that Clood could costume change from the black outfit into the white outfit in under 10 seconds. Which she did beautifully! Overall we spent around £1000 on the cosplays.  You can see our performance here. All our hard work paid off when we came second place in the finals. We were hot, tired and close to crying when everything was worth it. It was the most amazing feeling.
