I swear there are very few images that capture the way that we as a people have become. Controlled by devices that we ought to be controlling. The things that were actually created to make our lives better have begun to reduce the quality of our relationships. We are essentially trading our quality relationship for an alternative quality of life. Who knows if this quality of life is even better that the one that previous generations had. Yes, we can talk to people who are hundreds of miles away in an instance, but is it worth the cost of jeopardising the relationships that we could be building with those that are within our proximity.
I argue that it is time that we put our devices down and picked up on those relationships. It has to happen today, not tomorrow. Tomorrow, your child may be a day to old to play the games that you could have played today. Tomorrow, you lady or man may be too taken aback to take you back. We donβt have tomorrow, I contend that we should make that change right here right now. As a matter of fact, drop this phone, get off this computer and go and see someone. For goodness sake go outside and take a damn walk with someone.
