     ❛ I find that hard to believe but that IS a possibility. It’s unfortunate that they aren’t around as much. Maybe a BRAVE COUPLE OF SOULS will rise up and accept this challenge! ❜

Whisper looks towards the imaginary audience in a knowing way as if to say “Do this one favor for me, please”.

“Yeah, hopefully they gain the courage to be in public...I know it’s a feat for me to show up, kyupi.”

They wiggle nearby Whisper, “Having a bit of trouble there, kyupi?”

//Okay I’ve poofed from this blog for a bit but I had this random verse idea that tsuchinoko panda is a palm sized tsuchinoko.

“Okay, we’ll not fuss about it then, kyupi.”

Something did feel a little off, even if it was just the girl looking a bit glum. The tsuchinoko scooted closer to the girl, and gently flopped onto her lap. Maybe giving some company might ease this?

It had been too long since Hau had a chance to visit a malasada shop. The island challenge had been keeping him busy, but after taking a break to train on Melemele Island, he decided to stock up on his favorite snack before he left to take on Poni Island’s trials.

He was on his way home when he spotted the strange creature staring at him. Weird, that wasn’t a Pokemon he’d ever seen before. Hau shifted the bag of food to one arm so he could pull his Pokedex out, but all that came out when he pointed it at the snake was ‘Pokemon not found.’ That meant it wasn’t native to Alola, right? But it didn’t look like it had a trainer…

“Hey, are you lost? Hungry?” Hau pulled a malasada from his bag and held it out for the creature. “I dunno what you are, but you’re pretty cute!”

Ah! There was the edible source of the smell! It was like a doughnut! Pandanoko couldn’t help but to salivate at the sight, but they swallowed that drool, to squeak a “thank you!” with a-

“Kyupi!!”

The tsuchinoko engulfed the pastry into their mouth, and kept it there. The flavor was divine! Their eyes were sparkling with glee, as they let out a muffled, happy squeal.

While they were savoring the flavor, Tsuchinoko Panda nudged against Hau’s leg with some affection. Since they couldn’t talk around these parts, the snake had to get their point across in a different fashion.
