Dawn is currently studying to be a doctor, because... well... her other plan did not quite work out the way she'd hoped.

Once she became of age to begin asking questions, her parents never tried hiding their families little secret from her. Her father wanted to, but her mother insisted that it'd be more dangerous for her to discover it on her own, just like she had. So, with the knowledge that supernatural entities existed in the world and that her father used to fight them, came the idea that their little girl should be able to defend herself if harm ever did find her. Thus, Dawn trained in the art of self defense; how to get out of nasty predicaments, where to aim when attempting to stake someone, ectcetera, ectcetera.

Her training however ended up making her feel like she could make a real difference, help out like her father and aunt did in all the stories she heard growing up. So, once she thought herself good enough, strong enough, to help out she went out patrolling. It took a few tries, but she did find a group of vampires. One of which she even managed to stake! Alas, the others... It was only because one recognized her and who her father was that she wasn't killed immediately. As well as because of it that her father had time to rescue her, along with rush her to the hospital in time.

It was at that hospital that Dawn came up with the idea of pursuing a career in medicine rather than hunting, as hunting was not exactly her cup of tea... And she is happy with her decision. Violence isn't so much something that thrills her, anyways. It's the thought of helping people that does.

BACK STORY:

Trent was born in the 1970's in California to a young couple who had high hopes for him. Hopes he seemed to squash at every turn.

Seven years later, little baby Austin was born; a child his parents turned all their hopes to instead of him. It was an action that created a certain kind of jealousy in Trent, but eventually he too came to love Austin, that jealousy fading with each second that was spent with the young kid.

Eight years later; maybe it was because he liked it, maybe he just wanted to become that awful child his parents saw him to be, but he started dealing drugs with the aid of a good friend of his. He had a natural talent for what every salesperson would dream to possess, so it was easy cash.

Also at fifteen, Trent murdered his first man; Austin's history teacher. He shot the man outside his home. Why? Because he had been repeatedly violating his baby brother... for reasons he didn't know, nor did he want to know.

Surprisingly, no one found him out.

Trent was kicked out of his home at seventeen, for his failing grades and multiple nights spent in jail due to various crimes. He wasn't the model son that his parents had wanted, so he was cut out of their lives.

Upon his forced departure, Trent decided to move to Las Vegas, Nevada with what little cash he had. Began selling drugs out there, started gambling. It was a life he’d enjoy... up until he turned twenty one.

With the aid of one of the poker table dealers, he started stealing from one of the many casino's. It didn't end as well as planned, for one casino found out about their scheme and promptly punished them for it.

Trent was tortured for three days and three nights before being turned into a vampire, with the order to gain back the money he owed lest he find himself at their mercy once again. Unbeknowest to him, they had sent a woman named Brea to him in the guise of a friend that was concerned for his safety. Who wanted him to pay them back, so that all of his troubles would be gone.

Somewhere down the line Trent fell for Brea, accidentally but surely. For ten long years they remained in each other's company, happy and in love. But those ten years came to an abrupt halt when the man he owed, Grey, showed up out of the blue one night and shoved a stake through Brea’s heart, having discovered her betrayal. There was a plan to murder him, and to force the thought from Trent's head he killed the one person he cared about.

It did the opposite.
