I finished the Not So Berry Challenge but wanted to continue for a few more generations because I adore my family. So I’ve written up my own version of things I want to do and accomplish per generation. Now this is a small extension most likely 3 generations that will be updated as I play. Rules may be subject to change whether that be adding or removing things, bc I am playtesting all of this currently.

Generation 11: White 

From a young age you grew a fascination with acting, the idea of being able to step away from reality and take on a role of someone else excited you. So with the supportive parents you had, they enrolled you in drama club for the entirety of your school life. You begin to strive for something more, becoming a global superstar actor! With focusing so much on your career, keeping serious romantic relationships is difficult because you always prioritize work over love. You eat, breathe, sleep acting and you were happy keeping it that way. But with a one night stand gone wrong… you find out you are now left with an unplanned child. 

Traits: Self-Absorbed // Music Lover // Non-Committal

Aspiration: Master Actor

Career: Actor

Goals:

enroll in drama club as a child and teen + get promoted to junior artiste (lvl.4)

master acting skill

reach level 5 in singing, dancing and an instrument of your choice

master the actor career and master actor aspiration

become a 5 star celebrity

have at least 1 celebrity best friend

never get married

have a one night stand and “accidentally” get pregnant/impregnate the sim* - this will be your only child

* if you choose to impregnate a sim, once the sim gives birth they give you the child to take care of 

side note: if you don’t have access to custom content feel free to use silver hair in replacement for white and dress them in white if you please

Generation 12: Brown

Growing up in the shadows of your parents spotlight was a little hard on you. Although you knew how much they loved you and tried their best to spend every free moment with you, you still felt…alone. Thankfully being a part of the scouts club gave you a sense of family, which you deeply cherished. Scouts club also made you truly fall in love with the outdoors. Being out in nature didn’t make you feel like you were so alone anymore, which is why camping became something you loved to do. There were tales that in the Deep Woods of Granite Falls a hermit resides away from everyone, so naturally the curious bean you were you had to find out for yourself. Forever alone felt like a motto you started to live by and thought you’d never get married like your parent, but someone finally came along and you were really happy with the way life was heading. Unfortunately down the road things didn’t end up working out. You’ve always secretly had this crazy idea of making a robot best friend since you were a kid. The thought of having a robot who was there for you every waking moment felt like something you needed in your life, so it was time to make a crazy idea… a reality!

Aspiration:  Outdoor Enthusiast

Career:  Gardener

Goals:

join scouts club as a child and teen + get promoted to llamacorn scout (lvl.5)

master outdoor enthusiast aspiration (i give you permission to cheat sleep 5 nights in a tent - it’s quite annoying)

master gardening career (floral designer branch)

master gardening and flower arranging skill

complete the insect collection

have a pet cowplant

master herbalism skill (craft each recipe at least once - 13 recipes total)

master robotics skill and create your robot best friend

have 1 failed marriage and have at least 1 child w/ them

Generation 13: Black

Ahh books… you love em! You always enjoyed a good read that could take you on a journey in a whole new fantasy world. So naturally starting a book club at school to share your love for reading was the thing to do. Thanks to the club it brought you your best friend, who you later fall in love with and get engaged to. Instead of going off to university like everyone else you got convinced to join the military, but that didn’t last long so you quit and went off to study psychology. Whilst away at uni you discovered the Encyclopedia Vampirica, and got extremely curious about vampires to the point you took a trip over to Forgotten Hollow to find out if they were real. You end up meeting a vampire who you become completely mesmerized with and fall in love so quick as if you were put under a spell. This is where you decide to ask “could I be turned into one?” Without hesitation their teeth sink into your neck and the process of you turning has begun. You decide to drop out of university and call off the engagement because you have fallen for another and want to live out your new vampire life. Becoming a Simlish online teacher was your only option after dropping out of uni, and with working from home you had more time to yourself so you started writing your own books. Unfortunately your job started to feel mundane, so you have the bright idea of running your own business! Not being able to have children has always upset you, but with your new powers creating your own vampire family is only one step away…

Career:  Military/ Education/ Business Owner

Goals:

start a book club as a child and meet with them at least once a week

get engaged to your best friend shortly after aging up into a young adult

join the military career reach lvl 5, then quit

fall in love with a vampire and ask them to turn you

break off the engagement after you drop out of university

master bowling, vampire lore, and pipe organ skill

Generation 1: Red

Even before you achieve fame, you’re the most feared intern in the office. You are confident, sassy, and will do whatever it takes to succeed. You rise through the ranks of the staff at the San Myshuno Times, making enemies and forging alliances along the way. You’re an acquired taste, but your stamp of approval is desired by up-and-coming and professional artists alike.

Traits: Self-Assured, Art Lover, Mean

Aspiration: Painter Extraordinaire

Career: Critic - Art Critic

Goals:

Complete the Painter Extraordinaire aspiration

Max the Critic career in the Art Critic branch

Max the Painting and Charisma skills

Become at least a 2-star celebrity

Marry a coworker OR a sim with the Snob trait (if a coworker has the Snob trait, even better!)

I’ve always struggled with staying with one family because I get bored easily, so obviously, I tried legacy challenges created by the community, but I’d get tired with those too because I wasn’t interested in or was bored of the gameplay they centred around (not to say they aren’t awesome challenges, they just didn’t work for me). 

Basically, I wanted to create a legacy challenge that I could write the rules and generations for so I could focus on areas of gameplay that I know I haven’t explored properly or am interested in playing again. I can also add more generations as I go as more packs game out or simply as a certain area of the game appeals to me. 

I decided to share it simply because I couldn’t find a reason not to. It’s here if you’d like to use it. Tag me for credit & because I’d love to see! Put it under #titles legacy challenge if you’d like <3

Generation One: The Devoted One

You begin with barely any simoleons to your name, a small house, and no friends or family. You take the first job that’s hiring and become devoted to the company and spend your entire adult life working as hard as you can. As a sacrifice, many of your relationships are empty, with your only friends being co-workers, you were lucky to meet a partner who was happy to care for the kids. The simoleons you make keeps them happy anyway.

Your whole life is the company, often working on days off or overtime. You’re not even sure why you do it, the simoleons? The status? Simply something to occupy your time with?

Traits: Snob, Self-Assured, Perfectionist Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy (but you don’t have to complete it) Career: Salaryperson

Goals: • Live in apartments in San Myshuno      - Improving in quality & size as you make more money • Reach the top of the Salaryperson career • Max Logic & Charisma skills • Never attend festivals & rarely go to social events; you don’t have time for that • Marry a Family-Oriented sim • Your only friends are co-workers • Have at least 2 children but no more than 3

Optional: - Start going grey as a young adult due to the stress of your job - Have an affair as an adult with a younger sim - Don’t have a higher relationship than ‘friends’ with your spouse & children - Be forced to go on a vacation for Winterfest by your spouse one year

Generation Two: The Dramatic One

You were the definition of ‘bratty’ as a teenager, there was always something you wanted, some reason to yell at your parents about how unfair they were. Your family had money, but not as much as you needed, because you dreamed of the big beautiful houses in The Pinnacles and fancy clothes. You wanted everybody to know your name, you wanted people to obsess over you. You’d been in the Drama Club since you were a child, and days before your young adult birthday an agency finally saw your talents.

You become a household name; and people scream and follow you wherever you go, and it’s all you’ve ever wanted. You don’t even care about your fans that much; you just love the attention they give you.

Traits: Materialistic, Self-absorbed, Mean Aspiration: Master Actor/Actress Career: Actor/Actress

Goals: • Reach the top level of the Drama Club as a child/teen • Join the Acting career as a young adult & reach the top level • Become a 5 Star Celebrity • Have a pristine reputation, but you’re only nice to people’s faces • Spend all your money on having a nice home      - Have a mansion in The Pinnacles • Have a group of ‘Catty’ best friends • Marry another Actor/Actress • Have a Butler and live-in nanny • Take family on a vacation to Mt. Komorebi

Optional: - The celebrity you marry must have an atrocious reputation - Force all children into the Drama Club - Have 2 ‘rich people’ dogs

Generation Three: The Mountaineer

The family vacation you took to Mt. Komorebi changed your life forever. The brief time you were there was long enough for you to fall in love with the culture and scenery. You decide to return as a young adult to live your life there, letting go of the noise of Del Sol Valley and your parents’ expectations for you to follow their expectations of becoming an Actor/Actress. Your celebrity name fades as you become familiar with all the neighbourhoods, attend each of the festivals, hike all the trials, learn to cook all the foods, and attempt the mountain sports!

Traits: Loves Outdoors, Aspiration: Mt. Komorebi Sightseer Career: Optional

Goals: • Move to Mt. Komorebi as a young adult • Complete Mt. Komorebi Sightseer aspiration • Attend all festivals as often as possible • Hike all trails at least once • Max the Cooking, Photography & Wellness skills & one Mountain Sport skill of your choice • Marry a Mt. Komorebi native • Have 2 children – one is obsessed with the mountain sports and being active, but the other… • Live in a traditional style home

Optional: - Complete the Simmi collection - Complete the Spirit Dolls collection: yellow, green, blue, white & orange - Adopt a dog (look up what breeds are popular in Japan) - Cook mostly Japanese style foods

Generation Four: The Tech Head

You’re a geek. There’s no other way to say it; you’re obsessed with all things related to computers and gaming, spending hours in front of your screens while your sibling preferred to be out on the Mountain. You devote hours to playing games and writing code, or reading fantasy novels, so much so that you almost forget there’s a world outside of your bedroom. While your sibling goes on to be an athlete, you go in the complete opposite direction, and sit down in front of your screens for a living; and you love it!

Traits: Geek, Lazy, Glutton Aspiration: Computer Whiz Career: Freelance Programmer or Tech Guru

Goals: • As a child be obsessed with Void Critters • As a Young Adult work – reaching the top level of the Tech Guru career if that’s what you’ve chose • As an Adult, quit your job and instead make money by creating video games & apps • Max the Video Gaming & Programming skills • Complete Computer Whiz Aspiration • Regularly mod games & make plugins – hack into somewhere if you’re short of simoleons • Have a gaming den in your home • Have a club of gamer friends • Attend Geek Con whenever it’s in town with your club

Optional:  - Never eat healthy foods – pizza’s your favourite, order it often - Complete the MySims collection - Marry another geek

Generation Five: The Droid Lover

You grew up with a lot of tech in the house, your parents loving to play games and mess around with their computers. This love was passed on to you, and you love to spend time with you parents by playing multiplayer games, but as you reach teen hood you discover the wonder of Robotics and quickly become obsessed with putting bits and pieces together to create robots. You excel in high school and get accepted into a Distinguished Degree to study in University, and you can’t believe your hobby of Robotics gets to become your career!

While in University, you date a couple of people, but none of them feel right, so you keep looking, but wait…

Traits: Genius, Romantic, Geek Aspiration: your choice Career: Engineer

Goals: • Get to level 4 in the Robotics skill as a teen • Attend Foxbury University      - Major in Computer Science Distinguished Degree      - Take a Robotics elective class      - Join the Bot Savants & reach the top level • Reach the top of the Engineer career • Max the Robotics & Programming skills • Have 2 different love interests in University – one must be a boyfriend/girlfriend • Enter a 3rd relationship after graduating University – marry them • Build a Servo Bot • Fill your home with high-tech objects – e.g the Nanocan • Always have robotic objects in your home

Optional:  - Play Esports in University - Have an accidental baby while in University - Have a secret love affair with your Servo Bot - Remain good friends with parents – have them move in with you as elders

Generation 6: The Hectic One

Your parents were often so focused on their Robotics and careers, that you were left behind, an afterthought. The house was always filled with robots, you couldn’t walk into a room without seeing one! And that Servo Bot always creeped you out. Your lack of attention allowed for you to be a little crazy as a teenager; you skipped school and partied with your friends, your grades suffering until you eventually became a young adult and moved away.

You continue the same lifestyle; drinking, partying, living paycheck to paycheck and dating anyone who was willing to give you attention. The consequences of actions become known as you progress in your life, but you don’t care, you lived your life the way you wanted to!

Traits: Romantic, Dance Machine, Outgoing Aspiration: Party Animal Career: Culinary – Mixologist branch

Goals: • Live in San Myshuno – that’s where the party is! • Max the Dance, Charisma & Mixology skills • Progress as far in the Culinary career as you’d like but stay with the theme of struggling for money      - Must stay in the Mixologist branch • Complete the Friend of the World Aspiration • Never get married – have several flings but never any long-term relationships • Have 3 children, all to different people • Care about your friends more than your children

Generation 7: The Family Lover

The way you grew up showed you exactly what you didn’t want it life. Instead, you wanted stability, a big house, a loving spouse and a house full of pets and kids! Your family comes before anything else and you would do absolutely anything for them. You put all your effort into raising your children right and having a beautiful relationship with your spouse. You dedicate your time to them completely, not working or having many friends.

It’s all you’ve ever wanted, the perfect family, and you love it.

Traits: Family-Oriented, Romantic, Neat Aspiration: Big Happy Family Career: Any, but quit once your first child is born

Goals: • Marry your high school sweetheart as soon as you’re young adults      - Have a perfect relationship – both bars full at all times, stay together    until death • Have at least 1 pet • Have 4-5 children depending on how many pets you choose – 1 must be adopted • Max Parenting, Homestyle Cooking and Baking skills • All toddlers must max their skills before ageing up • All kids must max out their character values on the positive side before ageing up • You go all out on holidays because you want your children to have happy memories • You want to give your kids the best opportunities & whatever they want, but you ensure they don’t act ‘spoilt’      - Fulfil your kid’s whims often

Optional: - Take your family on vacation once a year - Keep lots of family photos in your home - Always help your kids with homework & projects

Generation 8: The Healer

You love your parents and everything they did for you; they gave you every opportunity you needed and allowed you to follow your dreams. The values of kindness, integrity and love make you a very empathetic person, and allow you to excel at your career as a Doctor. You often spend time with your parents and siblings as you were all close growing up, and even though you’re older now, you still love your family’s company.

You’re work-oriented too though, but you manage to find a balance so that your life isn’t consumed by it. You devote your life helping others and spending time with those you’re close to, along with making sure there’s time to read and write, while keeping up a healthy lifestyle.

Traits: Family-Oriented, Ambitious, Bookworm Aspiration: Optional Career: Doctor

Goals: • Reach the top level of the Doctor career • Max the Charisma & Writing skills • Write at least 3 non-fiction books focused on medicine • Often eat healthy foods & exercise often – you know how important it is • Remain close to all your immediate family members      - Call your parents everyday      - Celebrate holidays together      - Go out with your siblings • Marry a co-worker • Have only 1 child

Optional: - Your child always plays Doctor – they want to be just like you!

Generation 9: The Health Nut

Ever since you were little, your parent exposed you to a healthy lifestyle; as a Doctor, they saw what being unhealthy could do. You continue this lifestyle as you get older, but to a much larger extent. You always enjoyed being active and as you get older, become a professional athlete. Your parents eat healthy most of the time, but you decide that isn’t good enough and you choose to erase all poor foods from your diet, and pay attention to what you put in your body.

As you make your way up the ladder, you begin to get recognised for your abilities and become well-known among those who follow sports. You even have fans! In your free time you dabble in a few other hobbies like guitar and creating your own healthy, organic juices!

Traits: Active, Foodie, Bro Aspiration: Bodybuilder Career: Athlete

Goals: • As a child complete Rambunctious Scamp aspiration & Max the Motor skill • Reach the top level of the Athlete career • Complete the Bodybuilder Aspiration • Max the Fitness, Guitar and Juice Fizzing skills • Never eat unhealthy foods – e.g. baked goods & takeaway foods • Adopt an active dog you can take on jogs with you • Go on a holiday to Mt. Komorebi to try out the Mountain Sports – earn level 3 in at least 1 • Have your own gym in your house • Become at least a level 3 celebrity • Have twins – you may cheat for this – you may also have more children than this

Optional: - Max out the muscle tone slider in CAS by working out - Encourage all your children to live healthily

Generation 10: The Organic One

You love the earth and all of its beings. You move away from home as a teenager when you’ve decided you’d like a little piece of land to call your own where you can live off the land and provide for yourself as best as possible. You think of the environment as the owner of the land, and you’re just a visitor, so you live as ‘green’ as possible.

Your home and lifestyle is quaint, but you’re surrounded by your garden of fruit, veggies and flowers and to you it’s perfect. You’re better at being friends with those with fur, and take quite a few under your wing, but that doesn’t mean you don’t crave human interaction.

Traits: Loves Outdoors, Vegetarian, Green-Fiend Aspiration: Freelance Botanist Career: Gardener or just profit from your own garden

Goals: • Move out as a teenager • Complete the Freelance Botanist aspiration • Max the Gardening, Flower Arranging & Handiness skills • Never call for repairs – you must do them yourself • Make money from your garden & by creating flower arrangements      - Do this even if you do choose to do the Gardener career • Have at least 1 Cowplant • Have at least 2 pets at all times – your first two must be a fox & racoon • Have only 1 good friend • Eventually have a long-term relationship but don’t get married

Optional: - Explore the Herbalism skill - Go on vacation to Granite falls - Live off the grid

The Great British Sim Challenge is a Sims 4 history challenge that takes you through the history of Great Britain. Here’s the top five things for you to know:

1. There are goals to complete for each era, for example your aim in the Anglo Saxon era will be to become chief of your world through marriage, war and money.

2. There are ‘special events’ that could help or harm your progress to the goals e.g. the Black Death in the Medieval era or the Isle of Wight Music Festival in the mid-20th century.

3. The challenge puts as much thought and effort into choice, story-telling and world building as it does completing the goals e.g. in the Georgian era, you’ll need to choose: will you become an imperialist or abolitionist?

4. The eras begin in the Iron Age and end in the 00s, with all the historical periods - Medieval, Tudor, 1920s, 1970s - along the way.

5. The challenge uses nearly all of the packs (currently no Snowy Escape or Star Wars), but also always provides a base game alternative in case you don’t own a particular pack. For example, if you don’t own Parenthood, then the Victorian goal of having a child with all 5 character traits is changed to you having a child with all skills maxed out.

Happy Simming

Hello all! I recently realized that I had a couple of characters that I just left their story hanging (sorry my pixel children) and I’ve been looking for a challenge that I can use to show how their lives have been since their story ended. I had no luck finding one that was quite what I needed so I guess it was time to make one myself! It’ll take me some time to work on this myself but I figured I’d share what I came up with anyway.

The Aspirations photo challenge!

This is designed as a flexible daily photo challenge. I’ll be listing it in alphabetical order but I’m definitely not keeping to this order myself. Obviously themed off of the sims 4 aspiration categories, some days will have only an overarching theme while other days also have a couple of specific options. Feel free to interchange prompts/days freely to what fits with your characters/story. Post every day, once a week, once a month, doesn’t matter just do what works for you. If anyone does this I hope you like it!

This is something I’ve been putting together on and off for a few months now. I don’t know when I’ll ever get around to playing it, so in the meantime, I figured I’d share it in case anyone was looking for a new legacy challenge to play.

Anyone who has been following me knows that I love blending storytelling and gameplay together, so each heir has a little backstory to match their traits/goals. Even though the generations are different fruits, this is just for theme purposes and this is not a color-based challenge, so hair colors can be whatever you want them to be. Change any goals or details to match your gameplay style and use any cheats or mods you want to use.

There are only 8 generations for now, but I will include more if the need arises, just let me know that you need it and what you’d like to see added.
