My aunts and uncles, my grandparents, and many of my relatives lived in the Jim Crow south and endured racial apartheid that allows for open slaughter and murder of people the government classifies as second-class citizens. That same level of horror has been committed on Palestinians since the 1948 Nakba.

Colonial and apartheid regimes do not end peacefully. Chattel slavery was only “ended” in the West due to the Haitian Revolution and other liberation wars led by the oppressed. Y’all keep thinking neoliberal tactics like donations and nonviolent protests will bring tantamount change.

The citing of the American civil rights movement as peak representation of nonviolent rebellion bringing change is disingenuous because they literally assassinated or exiled most of its biggest leaders.

Please understand in the face of apartheid and genocide, radical action will eventually rise in the face of such violence. We do not have a right to police how Palestinians resist 75 years of violent colonial occupation.
