I wish, I hope,          That someday you will see        You mean an awful lot           To someone I call ‘me’.

There are nights when all I think about         Is your face in front of mine.         Our hearts connecting us         And our futures intertwined.

If only I had the courage       To say:       ‘To me you are perfect       In every way.’

One day I just may       Tell you have I feel.         But sadly right now you’re too far away,         To even begin to hear my spiel.

We’ve known each other for a really long time,        You know that too.        I just want to know          If I mean anything to you.

And if I don’t,       I mean, it’s fine.  But if I do,      Please tell me, so I can finally call you      Mine.

“Never Again”

Some people you come to know  are the type of people you can’t let go.  They’ve made such a deep impression  that you don’t know what to do without them.

And then they leave.

And when they leave  You’re lost.  They’ve been with you so long that life without them feels... off.  And you kind of want to cry, but you can’t.  Your mind won’t let you cry, so instead you just rant.

You throw your thoughts into words  and it’s messy and absurd,  but here you are. Without them. Never again. Will you ever get to see their face? Ever again? Maybe never again.

Because they left and you stayed  and you can’t say if you’ll see their face  ever again.

Man, im in such a mood this week
