But like when you get so used to living with someone and co-habitating with them that the constant reminders to eat and rest and take care of yourself kind of goes in one ear and comes out the other.

But after the three of you get together?

Eddie hasn’t built his defenses up yet. He’s weak to you. And Volt is just manipulative enough to know it, and uses it to his advantage.

All it takes is a little “Eddie looks rather tired, doesn’t he, live wire?” And you’re agreeing, prepared to swaddle Eddie with blankets and force him to take a nap.

Or a “You’ve both done such a good job on the maintenance, how’s a sweet treat sound?” and you’re suddenly tugging Eddie to the kitchens for a snack, despite his protests that he isnt finished yet. Then be crumbles and accepts a granola bar when you bat your eyes at him.

A casual “Didn’t you want to show us that movie you mentioned?” And before he even realizes it, Eddie is squished between the two of you enjoying a movie night.
