Letâs go! Koi go! Go home!
Makiâs going to be seen around the region with her starter, Pelicoth.
Just like when she played KoiGo, sheâs team Visionaries.
Sheâs not too interested in battle, but if you push her?? Sheâll probably wreck you.
Sheâs not too happy about being in a fictional world either. Sheâs going to be fairly hostile towards most people until they return to Koi. But that doesnât guarantee less moodiness, actually.
The only time sheâll be pleasant is on the job! That is, working at whateverâs the Koimon Center equivalent. Catch her at work. Watch out when sheâs off the job.
Half her team are the super cute, friendly Koimon. The other half are the hardest to catch and befriend. Itâs symbolic, like who she herself is.
It feels a bit weird to be doing this (considering she doesn't know Harukawa as well as she could) but she feels like she should do this. "Harukawa-san!" She calls to the child caregiver. "Happy birthday! I know it's not much but I hope you like my gift!" A wrapped gift is held out and the contents should she open it are a red scarf, a blank photo book (that she wants to help her fill up) and a small cake from one of the bakeries in the city. "Also I'd be happy to play for you as well!"
Akamatsu...
The pianist was the one who had insisted that they become friends upon escaping the killing game. It wasnât particularly surprising that she would do something for her birthday. That was the type of person the blonde was.
Maki stopped in her tracks, turning to face her. Somehow, the assassin had expected this. It was the risk of leaving her apartment on this date, after all. Her gaze trailed toward the wrapped gift offered to her.
She took hold of it, after a decisive moment. She hadnât quite settled on what she felt about Akamatsu. They were acquaintances, at best, Maki supposed. But... theyâd never become friends, if she didnât try.
She opened it. Even if she felt awkward, curiosity still got the best of her. Who didnât want to know what kind of gift was being given to them? A scarf... An empty photo book. Memories... Rather the past, look toward the future. That was the promise Yumeno, Kiibo, Saihara, and herself made in the end. Maybe... this was a good way to start.
The cake was appreciated too.
Maki idly toyed with her hair, eyes shifting away, âI wouldnât mind if you did that.â
Hey, Haukawa-san. I heard it was your birthday. I hope you don't mind if I give you a gift... not much, but maybe thought it might remind you of home. ( It's a plush of a ... Koimon? Nice. )
â...? Amami?â
She supposed they were on fairly amicable terms. It wasnât as if she had any qualms against him, for that matter. Rather, the problem was... her birthday. Her feelings about it... were complex, to say the least. For as long as she could remember, she didnât know whether the second of February was the date of her birth. A fact that was only further muddied by the truth of the killing game. A truth the boy, offering her a gift, wasnât privy to yet.
Home, huh?
It was a nice gesture.
Red eyes trailed from his gaze to the plushie offered to her. Vxlpix, wasnât it? She reached out after a moment, and took the gift. Strange, wasnât it? If he had offered this to... months ago, she would have rejected it. Even now, Maki still didnât quite believe she deserved gifts. Her gaze returned to meet his. She absentmindedly pulled the plushie close. A ghost of a smile formed on her lips.
â...Thanks.â
â...With that idiot?â
Sheâs staring at her new roommate assignment.

( DRESSED TO IMPRESS. //Â truthsbladeâ )
ITâS AN ODD DAY WHEN sheâs got more free - time than work - time. between her new career and training on the side, the majority of her days are spent occupied. not that weiss minds, really. sheâd probably be driven insane if she had less to do. that said, she can still appreciate the occasional day where all she has to worry about is training in the morning ( just because sheâs no longer slaying monsters on a daily basis doesnât mean sheâll allow herself to slack in that area ).Â
she ends up trekking through some clothing stores after dining in for some coffee and pastries. itâs exhilarating to spend her  OWN money rather than rely on what she had been born into. most of her casual clothes come from work nowadays, but she quite enjoys taking this time to herself, too! she wanders to look for some dresses to wear under winter coats â something casual but classy. blue hues flicker towards the other girl in the isle, who appears to be glancing over a particularly nice dress. she looksâŚÂ hesitant?Â
and then sheâs being spoken to. weiss looks up to meet the girlâs gaze and suddenly feels a bit bad. weiss is â by no means â an expert on other people, but something tells her that this stranger might need a bit of a helping hand! weiss smiles and walks down the isle, stopping a bit before the other and looking over the dress.
âit is a nice dress, i have to admit. and in a color i frequent, as well. â she comments,  âbut you seem interested, too. besides, i think it would suit you wonderfully. honest! â her smile remains, genuine and a bit excited. âoh, you could totally find a cardigan to go with it!  â ideas form in her mind already to complete the perfect outfit for the girl, âi think you should totally try it on. â
Memories, no matter how fictional, were all she had to rely upon. Not that that they were particularly helpful. The only time Maki had ever interacted with other girls in her age group was the killing game. Most of them had been eccentric, to say the very least. It wasnât as if they had time to talk about clothes. Moreover, she had been largely hostile toward them for the majority of the killing game.
In other words, she had little idea how to react to Weissâs eagerness. The brunette was someone who lived life looking over her shoulder at all times. Of course, Saihara and Momota were the reason she was able to be a little more honest and forward with others. Even so... she hadnât interacted with many others outside of the world of Danganronpa. And she didnât know much about the city.
Her free hand moved up to idly toy with her hair. Red eyes trailed away from the other girl. Her other hand tightened a bit around the clothes hanger. Part of trying to hand the dress off to her was out of the desire to escape conversation.
â...Huh?â was all that finally escaped her lips. Maki knew what a cardigan was, but... she wasnât exceptionally skilled at putting outfits together. If it wasnât the sailor uniform, she tended to wear plain clothes. Clothes that wouldnât be a waste, when she was constantly on the move. â...Why the hell... should I do that?â she responded, confusion was evident in her tone.
Even if there was no bite to her tone... that was a bit much, wasnât it? She grimaced, breaking eye contact once more.
âUhm, sorry.â
@kabehxna liked this {x} for a starter!!
Somehow, she had forgotten just how noisy cities were. Or... perhaps she hadnât known in the first place. If she thought about it too long, sheâd get a headache. Nonetheless, she was prone to hating noise. And it wasnât as if she lived alone. Even Maki could only stay in her room for so long before going crazy. Avoiding her roommate and any other stranger was proving a task a tad difficult.
She had chosen a secluded enough spot in Begonia Meadows. As quiet as one could manage, really. Maki was idly flipping through a book. Maybe a public place wasnât the best place to try to read when she was typically guarded. She was about to turn a page, when she realized the garden she had been camped out in was... encroached upon. Red eyes flickered from the book to the young man.
â...What do you want?â
Her tone was neutral, mostly. She couldnât necessarily help the underlying suspicion in her tone. Nor could she wholly keep the go away out of it, either.
Last blog, whew. You know the drill.

âŚ. Well, meeting new classmates werenât new to him at all anymore, but the method in which he met them? Pretty wild each and every time.Â
Like now. Heâd always suspected that there was more to Harukawa-san than met the eye, butâŚ.
âHarukawa-san⌠Are you alright up there?â
what the fuck, my man.
The only real way to catch Koimon was on her own, and somewhere dangerous. Why were the best ones there? Who knew, but there sat an ex-assassin on a crane.
The sudden calling of her name from a familiar voice, though she didnât really know him at all.
â...Amami?ââ

THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT HAD SPREAD throughout the city like a WILDFIRE. every street, storefront, and  MOST  homes had at least some essence of the holiday adorning itâs features and, in all honestly, kaito found himself enjoying it all very much. itâs a lighthearted contrast compared to the confusion heâs been plagued with since waking up in the city. he decides that taking everything in passing is massively insulting to everything on display. the solution? well, dedicate an entire night to enjoying it all! and since thereâs no way heâll do it aloneâŚÂ
â oi â harumaki! open up! â kaitoâs fist taps vigorously at her door with TOTAL disregard for the other tenants, âharumaki! i got somethinâ you need to come do with me! and grab your coat! â as per usual, heâs not planning on taking â no â for an answer, but heâs pretty sure maki doesnât need to be told as such. besidesâŚÂ knowing what he does of makiâs past, kaito isnât sure if makiâs ever enjoyed a proper holiday before. itâs just an assumption, of course, but itâs one that makes him sad enough to fuel a burning desire to show her the magic the holiday brings!
okay, and maybe itâs an excuse to hang out with her more, too. but sheâs his  cherished friend , of course he wants every opportunity to spend time with her! he knocks again with confidence, sure of himself that he can give maki the best holiday sheâs  ever had!
For as long as she could remember, she had no particular feeling for Christmas. Perhaps... resentment, if she thought about it long enough. Christmastime... simply was just the coldest part of the year to her. More days of assignments and the aimlessness that came in the days in between them. Nothing more, nothing less. This was her first Christmas. But wasnât that the truth in more ways than one? Maybe it was cruel of her not to tell him. Sheâd have to talk to Saihara about what should be done.
This thought crossed her mind many times. She wrestled with it more than sheâd like to admit to. Her thoughts were interrupted by his knocking. So noisy, was her first thought. It was annoying, it was familiar. Truthfully, hearing his voice again... was a relief, somehow. Maki didnât understand the how or why. But the selfish part of her? She was relieved they could be together once more.
âMomota...â
His name rolled sharply off her tongue, after opening the door. Her tone was impatient and slightly irritable. Yet, if he paid close enough attention? There was an undercurrent of warmth and affection in the way she spoke his name. Maki was buttoning her jacket as she gazed at him.
âStop disturbing my neighbors, you idiot.â

Considering how long sheâs been in the city, she should be used to seeing her classmates show up. Even so, sheâs still not used to it, especially since she cared about all of them. Maybe itâs because sheâs not sure what they all remember, and thatâs what scares her. That they all remember what she did all too well, and that they know what they saw. That they saw her be executed, and yet, sheâs here, alive and in the flesh.
At least inside the city that is. She canât leave outside the city too much, lest she start to feel her life (or rather, her anew life) slipping from her. But for whatever reason, sheâs alive again and honestly, with how long itâs been, sheâs probably glad for it. Even if some rather painful things have happened since then.
     âHarukawa-san?â
The child caregiver stands before her, and Kaedeâs not sure how to feel. They didnât see eye to eye back at the academy, so it makes it hard to know how to act around her. She was always so stoic and closed off from them all, and she didnât even seem to be phased when Amami had died. Yet she remembers what someone told her about what really happened then, but sheâs not sure if she knows.Â
     âYeahâŚI amâŚâ
But besides that, canât they try to become closer?
âItâs good to see you as well. Did you just arrive here?â
Maki was at an impasse. Everything about her talent told her that logically Akamatsu should not be alive. There was no feasible reason anyone should have survived that execution. It wasnât as if one had to be an assassin to know that. She had been the one to have the most muted expression in regards to the execution. Yet, it left her disturbed. There was a reason she specialized in quick kills. If murder was unavoidable, she would do her best to make it painless. But Akamatsu hadnât been afforded that kind of mercy. (If one could call a fast death mercy.)
That aside, how much did the pianist know..?
She hadnât sorted out anything in regards to the girl before her. It was hard to form connections then, when no one knew who the child caregiver was. As far as Maki could tell there was no reason to believe Akamatsu knew. How... troublesome. Yet, she couldnât deny the fact that she was still alive because of her. And not just because of her unjust sacrifice in the first trial. She was the one who first influenced Saihara to seek the truth. An influence Momota then built upon. The insistence that he seek the truth was the motivation for his ending of it all. Akamatsu
â...Yeah. A few days ago.â
Making conversation was her weakest point. Especially with someone she had previously been harsh with. Maki had a lot she wanted to say, wanted to ask. But... this wasnât the time or place for it. The city streets were too open, too public. It was possible that the people behind the game could be somewhere in this city. She was... trapped with trying to make small talk.
â...What about you?â
schneetxtâ:
Winter hadnât exactly had the best luck in this new city, so far. It was no surprise that with a new world, there would be new social norms. Instead of being commanded, she now had free reign. It was an interesting feeling, to be quite honest. With this new found freedom, she could do a lot of the things she hadnât been able to do in a long time. On her agenda? Friends.
The oldest Schnee never had much time to make them, as her nose was always in a book or on a training ground. Since this was considered a fresh start, she started to take advantage of the fact.Â
âYouâre new here as well?â Winter sighed inwardly, as she hoped to run into someone who had been there a lot longer than she had. âWhat do you know about this place?â
This didnât seem to be some sort of extensive questioning, at least. She couldnât help her wariness nonetheless. There was still too much she didnât know about this world. Too much of a disconnect between where she was and where she found herself now. Out of this city, she knew only a handful of people. How many could she truly call friend? One. The rest were... highly complicated. Something she needed to deal with, on top of encountering strangers.
She idly toyed with her hair. A habit whenever she was deep in thought, anxious, concerned, stressed. Maybe the list was endless. Maki couldnât quite place what emotion she was feeling. âNot much. This place seems like a normal city, doesnât...? But...â she trailed off. Theories were better left to the detective who was nowhere to be seen. Maybe he was investigating into the city. âWho knows.â
usosamaâ:
âWow, I wasnât expecting a compliment from Harukawa-chan!â Whether she meant it as a compliment or not wasnât clear, nor was it relevant. âI guess I did pretty well! Of course, I already know my plan failed in the end. Saihara-chan told me all about it.â
Was he disappointed by that? Of course. But there was something fun about it, too, wasnât there?
Though she didnât have the same scowl she usually did when they spoke, Ouma was sure it wouldnât take much to provoke her. The real question was whether or not he wanted to. That was debatable; he was no longer a threat to her, but killing no longer had the same penalties it did at the academy. Not that he necessarily expected her to kill him⌠but the thought did cross his mind. Sheâd already tried once. Forgive him for being a little wary.
Oh, what the hell. Heâd already died once, and no way would she really kill him over something stupid like the question he was about to ask her.
âSo⌠how did it feel?â
âTrying to kill me to âsaveâ Momota-chan, only for him to die anyway?â
She was aware now that he had no reason to know that Shirogane twisted the truth about who he was. A prankster... or a remnant of despair. Someone who allegedly had helped end the world. And at the time, he was claiming to be the mastermind. At the time, she was certain Momotaâs blood was on her hands. In a way, it felt as though she had nothing left to lose. It was foolish. It was something she regretted every day, but... she wouldnât show that around him. Especially since it seemed Saihara hadnât told him everything.
âDo you want to die..?â
The words rolled sharply, coldly off her tongue. It was rather thoughtless, she knew. But it was always like this, wasnât it? He knew just the things to say that pushed her over the edge. He knew just how to test her. Her fingers twitched. The urge to lash out was strong, but... she was trying to be better than that. Maki curled her fingers into her sleeves. Even if her blood was boiling, she didnât want to be associated with violence.Â
âGo play around with someone else, Ouma.â
âAre people really going to... celebrate Halloween?â
Sheâs skeptical.
resolutetruthâ:
Something real⌠Though he canât read Harukawaâs mind to know that she is thinking of their friendship that way, itâs how Saihara feels about it as well. Even now, even here, he canât help the way his mind questions what is real and what is notâ how much of their world had been as fictional as Shirogane claimed, if it had been at all. Yet, theyâd decided to live as themselves, hadnât they? Doubt may plague his thoughts from time to time, but thatâs simply an inescapable by-product of the truth theyâd uncovered. All that matters is whatâs real to them now, as they both stand here under the night sky.
No words leave his mouth in response to her affirmation and remark about the so-called idiot but he does give a tiny smile. Idiot part aside, itâs true. Somehow, Momota is managing to pull them together even in this situation. Itâs⌠comforting.
Looking up at the stars above as Harukawa does, he wonders how far the sky reaches. Does it extend across worlds? Perhaps to some sort of afterlife? Thereâs no way of knowing, but he finds himself wanting to believe that maybe it does.
âIâm glad I found you here too, Harukawa-san.â Voice as soft as usual, the sincerity in his tone shines through. Pausing for a moment before his habitual line of thinking kicks in.
âAlthough, Iâm still not quite sure where here is⌠It doesnât seem to be Danganronpa, but is this really what lies beyond that world?â Musing aloud.
She couldnât identify any stars or constellations. Gokuharaâs comment about the stars over the school flickered back into her mind. He mentioned not being able to recognize any constellations. She wondered why a certain astronaut hadnât made that observation either. Moreover, she wondered if the sky before them was just a screen, or reality.
A ghost of a smile played at her lips, at his response. Friendship was still a foreign concept. One that, ultimately, still set off anxieties within her. She couldnât help the way it felt like she was going to endanger any that got close to her, even if she knew that feeling was baseless. Perhaps the was the only relief about the truth, though it did nothing to change how she felt. In any case, Saihara better not point out her (almost) smile.
Her gaze returned to earth as he spoke out loud. It wasnât a surprise. Even before they left school grounds, he had begun to theorize. Maki agreed though. This didnât seem to be Danganronpa or a world that was obsessed with it. Even if Saihara ended it, could its influence disappear that quickly?
Where were they? And... where was Yumeno, for that matter?
âItâs like weâve traded one cage for another.â It was roomier. Offered more room to breathe yes. They didnât need to be at each other or anyone elseâs throats in order to survive.
But a cage was still a cage.

* âŚââ Starter for @truthsblade // Starter call (Open)
Was he really so okay with suddenly ending up in this place ? They still tried to get him to go to school but he was able to live on his own if he signed up for this weird program, He didnât have to go to his job either which was both a blessing and a curse - He didnât feel particularly productive in such a state and he had to wonder ⌠Did everyone know he was just ⌠Gone ? God, Aizou is gonna kill him ⌠And it didnât even seem like he could text him, ugh how weird (and frustrating)
For now, spending all his time in places he shouldnât be was much more fun. He often tucks into back alleyways at home and climbed onto roofs at random hours of the day just to be able to observe so it was no shock he found himself a way to one of the roofs of the many buildings in this Koi place. All would have been going well until out of the corner of his eye a girl just ⌠ended up on the roof with him ? (Admittedly he didnât see how she got up here, was she here to scold him ?)
â What on earth are you doing up here ? â is he even on earth anymore ? and she could honestly ask the same question back at him, neither of them should really be up here but he was so used to his manager scolding him for things that he assumed she was going to be some goody two shoes that told him to get down.Â
Maybe she should have expected this. Crossing paths with another person. She probably would have, that was... if they were both on the street. That was where people were supposed to be, normally. Maybe she needed to throw normal out of the window. This was the second person on a roof, since she had arrived here. Did this city just whisk people away at random? Was that even possible? She probably shouldnât mark anything out of the realm of impossibility. Of course that didnât ease her tension, Rooftops should have been free of others. Not to mention, they could easily report one another.
How careless of her. Though, it wasnât like she had her old cloak with her to conceal her identity. Maybe she needed to get her hands on a new one. Not that it mattered now. She needed to answer the question, didnât she? Then again, she could ask him the same thing. Her lips pursed into a thin line for a moment. Perhaps because she wasnât planning for a murder, she wasnât considering what moves to make.
âI was trying to see if I could see anything on the horizon,â Maki shrugged after a moment. It wasnât entirely a lie. There didnât seem to be any way off this island, much to her annoyance. â...Itâs quiet up high,â she added, fidgeting with her hair,Â
âWhat are you doing up here?â
haiirojinrouâ:
Natsuno liked rooftops. He had enough distance away from the street-level scents that were often overpowering and/or unpleasant to a jinrou nose, he had a good view of the area, and, best of all, there was no risk heâd be disturbed by anyone else.
âŚMake that little to no risk, he amended, grimacing as his nose caught the scent of a human girl, his ears the sound of her approach. She was moving pretty quickly, so maybe sheâd just pass byâŚ
âŚNnnnope, stopping to stare at him. Great. Natsuno slashed her an irritated look over his shoulder.
And man, good thing he had the constant input from his enhanced senses that, yes, that was a living human body, because her almost-too-pale pallor and red eyes reminded him uncomfortably of a certain high-school-aged shiki.
And the pigtails. Ugh. At least her hair wasnât pink, and too long for an actual resemblance. The last thing he needed right now was flashbacks to fucking Shimizu.
ââŚDid you need something, or are you just here to bother me for shits and giggles?â
It wasnât like she had planned on running into anyone on the rooftops. As an assassin, it wasnât an entirely uncommon occurrence. Her superiors would give her assignments anywhere they saw fit, as long as it wouldnât reveal any sort of cover. She thought the days of such encounters were over. And of course, they were. But that didnât stop her from being surprised nonetheless. She didnât care for being caught off guard.
He was... a charmer, wasnât he? How was someone supposed to react to running into someone else somewhere neither of them belonged? Her gaze narrowed as he looked over his shoulder toward her. Maki was not the most pleasant of people herself, no. But what was the point of him acting like this? It wasnât as if either of them were doing something legal right now.
âNeither,â she replied, curtly. Her gaze shifted away from him as she was already starting to move across the roof. While she couldnât see why either of those would be his assumptions about a mere stranger, she saw no point to sticking around and finding out. Unless he had something else to say, she had every intention of moving on.
