POKEMON TEAMS
By the time she’s seventeen, Kanara has three Pokemon - the first of which was given to her as a baby from her dad on her eleventh birthday.
Her “team” consists of a male Jolteon ( named Reol ), a female Noibat ( named Bibi ), and a male Luxio ( named Lucky ).
Reol was given to her as an Eevee recently hatched, and she bawled for fifteen minutes straight over him being her first Pokemon.
Despite her energetic and forgetful nature, she’s a rather competent Trainer who actually spoils her team.
The Noibat is one she finds while helping out the Alolan Trial Leaders after turning thirteen, injured and without its mother. After learning that the mother was killed in a rockslide, she took it upon herself to take the soon-to-be ‘Bibi’ under her wing, so to speak.
She never makes Bibi battle, because Bibi isn’t the sort to like fighting if she can avoid it.
Lucky was found by - well - just Kanara’s luck. In much the same fashion as her father’s Ninetales had become a part of his team, this Luxio quickly grew attached to her and refused to leave her side. Unable to say no to his little girl, Fleur allowed it as long as she could take care of her team by herself.
And she does, near flawlessly.
And they take care of her in return, not letting her forget her medicine or to take breaks sometimes from her work and school assignments.
Being uninterested with battling, but highly intrigued by the concept of Contests, Phoenix prefers ‘cute’ and ‘cool’ looking Pokemon to assist him in this ongoing research.
His “team” consists of a male Axew ( named Killian ) and a female Purrloin ( named Lana ).
Much like with his sister, Killian was a gift from his father. Unlike his sister, though, this Axew was found sneaking around the house looking for food.
Ever the dutiful one, he decided to keep him. They’ve been inseparable since.
Lana is a more recent addition, and one that he hadn’t anticipated on. She simply appeared at the foot of his bed one night, sleeping away. Unable to turn away a sleeping kitten, sucker for animals as he is, he decided to take her in. She’s a bit of a diva.
He doesn’t have plans on expanding his team, liking the even and easy to take of number of companions he currently has.
