a pack of gum.

    no  ,  he can’t take a breath yet.    in fact  ,  he’s far from being able to breathe correctly for a while.    the man doesn’t even take the time to close his eyes to get any sort of rest and it’s showing in the indentation of the bags growing under his eyes.    look any closer and you’ll still be able to see the  fire  aisle  burning only for the man who wants to take him for credit.    over  his  dead  body.

an  odd  sight  in  suburban  terrain, as  if  she’s  been  plucked  from  her  own  world  and  misplaced  somewhere.   the  feral  child  has  emerged  from  hiding  to  wander  back  home,  trailing  the  dirt  and  leaves  behind  her  with  each  step.   

but  here  is  an  obstacle  centered  in  the  path,  greeting  her  with  the  most  unpleasant  sound.   an  obstacle  too  big  and  too  loud.   her  teeth  snap  instinctively  and  she  tries  to  shove  past.   her  whole  body  slams  into  his  side  with  a  violent  force,  unnatural  for  something  of  her  size.   “  DON’T  YELL  AT  ME!  ”  she  shrieks  back  even  louder  while  she  tries  to  break  past.   “  move!  ”

    tall stature stays frozen where it is.    wild eyed man looks at the young girl with blazed bewilderment as he edges  fright.    he hates to say that’s what it is  ,  but he’s never been far too good with words.    gene swears it every class.    barry still remains frozen in place when he swears he’s already gone out of her way like she demanded.    these little ones seem to just scream whenever nothing goes their way.    it’s beyond him.

     ❛      WHERE  DID  YOU  COME  FROM  ?      ❜    god  ,  not this again.    losing that one little girl was enough for him to understand that there are some people out there unlike him  ,  but a  huge  part of him didn’t seem to believe it.

    the  lonelier  towns.    the  hidden  towns.    the towns lost in between coordinates.    that’s where he needs to go.    barry doesn’t know why he ever thought fuches was right in going to hollywood.    that place was beginning to eat him up and something about that thought didn’t sit well with him.    this wasn’t hiding away from it all  ,  but only to  get  away.    lifestyles phase out and trying a chance at some other options never seemed to hurt.

    he doesn’t belong to anyone now and some could call him a free agent    (  he  doesn’t  ).    but somehow he’s ended up in a small town teaching  children  at a school.    teaching them drama  ,  by the way  , because gene thought it was the greatest idea.    at least he got that sort of courage in barry.
