Honestly it wasn't normal to have a conversation with a horse, specially when this horse appeared to be educated anyway, this city was everything BUT logical so he didn't worry much for anyone seeing him chitchatting the animal.

"Name me? What do you mean by that I mean---pretty sure you wouldn't enjoy me calling you horse all the time this is why I came up with a good name for you, 'Bullfart II', my first horse was Bullfart so it has some history nothing too complicated."

It didn't matter because Jean got sugars and anything to keep the horse away from the dead heichou's girlfriend securing their lives in this place. Maybe there were no titans over there except for shitty Eren but Heichou seemed like the same old crancky abusive man, he want's nothing with it.
