They have pitchforks and torches held high. They will back you against a wall and hate you. Do not change for the peasant rabble, the misguided fools. Change them instead. Tooth and claw, or tongue and venom. You will have two choices-- Become the monster they say you are or perish. I say show them what nightmares can truly be.

I’ll drag you to the same hell you put me through. You will regret everything you did to me when I make you suffer through my pain tenfold. You should never have hurt a demon.

Unbidden and from nowhere, a shudder rolls up over the hollow of a back, prickling up head and arm hair alike. It is cold, and trails up like tiny, skittering claws, leaving only the tiniest of soft tingles to mark passing. Oh how lovely it is when your own vessel reacts to what it holds.
