once upon a time there was a soul who couldn’t even stand her own reflection without her painted mask & only saw great sadness in the world. she had strong connections with other beings, but even their deep love never really helped the sun come out on her rainy days. life was a senseless blood stained massacre… until, to her complete & utter surprise, her story began to change. there was never really one big moment of inspiration, no spectacular show stopping memory which flicked her perception. it was the small bits of pure happiness & universal lessons that slowly trickled down into her roots & helped her to bloom. all of a sudden all she could see was love. love in herself - her skin, her hair, her daring energy. love in the souls around her - fur & all. love in the beauty of our mama earth. love in art - every wild imagination, every colour, every swirl, every minuscule dot. as she slowly broke her rusted chains, she felt what it was like to breath effortlessly. her mind now danced with the wind & sang in the trees. colours began to seep into the very fibers of her black & white photographs. she could feel the fire & warmth of her inner glow. she understood that there was still a very long & somewhat hard journey to go. but now she new a cosmic secret - the universe will never give her more than she can handle & with that she finally felt safe. - hakunamaboo: midnight whispers.
