Final two animatronic guys!!! Helen (my favorite) and Mr. Munch!!! I ended up going with this era cause it's the one I grew up with :) I did originally plan to draw Helen in her stage outfit, but I LOOOVEEE the silhouette of this one :) I also rally like the red and white fit with jeans, but this is an outfit I would have actually worn as a kid, so I just think it's cute :)

Internal files for Mario Kart Wii reveal that testing for the game's Mii racer functionality was done using a Mii called "morio", which was nearly identical to the regular starter male Mii, only with a custom name. Whether "morio" is simply a reference to the game's name or to Mario as a character specifically is unknown.
