OK, so this is an illustration about facing past mistakes, ghosts, fears.  They can look intimidating but if you get to know them you’ll find they’re actually kind of nice. I guess ?

Sometimes after yoga my butt hurts. And I feel it slowly becoming rock solid, and I like it. And thus I made a drawing about it. Enjoy and say hi to your butt for me!

This is my quite literal take for an illustration contest with "la terre à crédit" / "earth on credit" as the theme. Not sure how well it translates in english, but in french it's a reference to climate change and the exhaustion of natural resources. The broader theme is "eco-citizenship", and the contest is held by a children book festival, so I tried to keep it hopeful & cute ! Hope you enjoy.

One of the client’s original idea was a carrot playing guitar, and I thought that was really cute, so yeah, I did it, no questions asked.

 From my humble understanding, getting over stuttering is about creating mental processes (the orange cog in the head) to “avoid” stuttering. Thus, what we say and what we have in mind is the same (cog in head, same cog in speech bubble). And it allows us to share it with the world (speech bubble). And talk about how things work (cogs). CQFD.

So I really wanted to avoid 90s software metal effects, also I thought the curve of the shield should be sturdy, simple, essential. I tried to give it a flat design kind of vibe with that clear cut, diagonal shadow.  I think it looks smooth.

The food items were fun, I’m very happy with how the meat and fish came out. “Fresh” was difficult. How do you represent freshness ? Here’s my take on it.
