So now we’re planning on leaving Milwaukee. I know so soon but it’s gotten kind of shitty. It’s a great city and everything but the party scene isn’t really for us. So we’re moving to Alaska this coming October!

WE GOT ENGAGED! I asked via writing “will you marry me” in the cover of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy aka the book we first bonded over when we met (I know cute af). I used my birthday as an excuse to invite out my brother & elis sister so we got to celebrate with them! I’m just so utterly grateful for Eli coming into my life, who knew that we would’ve met in San Francisco let alone those two junkies would get clean & find each other again? That’s insane.
Update since I decided to take some time off from trucking! (First post of three)
Tw: mental health, depression
It’s been a rough couple months but I’m finally feeling better. When I first got off the road I worked at a restaurant for a little bit which turned out to be toxic af. That combined with feeling unstable from such a big life change (quitting trucking) resulted in a bit of a breakdown in the form of depression so I checked into an Intensive Outpatient program where I got diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. Since then I’ve taken some time from working and focused on building back up my mental health. Lots of journaling, manifestation practices & eating healthy. I’m so grateful to have a partner who’s willing to support me not only financially but also emotionally during all this. This break has helped a lot but I’ve decided to check myself into a detox to get off my gabapentin (my anxiety medication) because I think that’s the next step in getting better. I’m really truly hopeful it’ll put me on a whole new version of my mental health which has me hopeful for my future overall.

Two years of trucking. I’m burnt out so I’m done. Idk I’ll probably write a post about how great it was in a bit but for right now I’m just exhausted & excited to be home all the time.
Finally home! I turned in my truck so now on to the next stage in life. Wish me luck 💕
