Took a few photos today of the now Marvel Stadium here in Docklands. I use to find this kind of funny until recently when former Marvel Comics head Stan Lee recently passed way. The naming of Docklands Stadium to Marvel Stadium is a pretty major display of how powerful the Marvel brand is right now. What was just the title to a series of comics about superheroes in 1939, is now an entertainment juggernaut, and a lot of this is thanks to the work of Stan Lee and his collaborators since the brand was established. It’s sad now that Stan Lee has passed, but he has left behind one hell of a legacy.
