Dusted off my photoshop and drew some people from /r/RedditGetsDrawn and /r/DrawMe. It’s been a long time since doing that! Was feeling the more exaggerated caricature’y style.

Here is how I did it! Sculpted 8 tiles with somewhat varying thicknesses and widths, and then I made both sides of each tile unique, giving me 4 ways to present and place each tile. Hand placed and rotated in Maya on a 4x4 meter plane with love and care and patience, starting with the corners and edges to make sure it tiles in X and Y. And then further worked on the baked maps in Substance Designer to push it a step further...
