The first and the second picture, you can see the wisteria leaves and also Ginger & Mina. 😊

After 3 years, my wisteria started to bloom. If you never had a wisteria and would like one in your garden or on your terrace/balcony for more privacy. The better way or for a quicker way, it's like we did, planting the tree then it will take 3 to 5 years to get flowers, the first 2 years, there are only leaves.

Planting a grafted wisteria like I did, as a tree is an excellent way to achieve rapid flowering. Grafting guarantees much faster flowering, usually 3 to 5 years, compared to a seedling which can take 10 to 20 years and also disease resistance compared to seeds.

It's a Chinese wisteria, it smells nice, sweet fragrance, the flowers blooms before the leaves, it gets vigorous and massive.

I will this week look at your photos as I haven't checked Tumblr for almost 3 weeks now, my Macbook cable is broken, so for now off and on, I can use my husband's computer but I don't really like it and I don't see where the smileys are. LoL! 

Also busy with the meadow and this year I planted more flowers but in the pots, mostly for the bees, hoverflies, butterflies and so on, like this I can hide the pots when we have strong rain and windstorms. 

And after 3 years, my Chinese wisteria bloomed, so beautiful. I will post pictures.

The pains are gone, also the hematoma, now just some bruises, at least my face didn't turn black and the eye was not touched but the swelling is gone, just a tiny bruise now and the leg is almost healed, only bruises now.

Hello! For today, a picture of Mina.

Hope you are better than me. At least I can write but to walk not very well yet, it still hurts.

I fell down, my cheek hit the fence hard and was very swollen, one of our fences outside in front of the entrance door is not a wood fence but a metal fence. My leg is cut, and my knee is open. The doctor said my cheek and eye will be black for one to two weeks, it will not heal quickly but I was very lucky they said. . My leg is bandaged, but it burns. I'm taking painkillers now. He said I was incredibly lucky; somehow I was protected that my eyes, teeth, and head weren't affected. Now everything with bandages.

Now I have to constantly ice my leg and be careful that the redness doesn't get worse and that I don't faint.

Today I had a surprise in my meadow, I discovered a tulip, I never planted. 😊

My new pictures taken yesterday morning and today, the sparrows came to eat and one of them was flying back and forth when I was doing the garden, it's the one in my last picture, he came a few times to take pampas grass for his nest.  😊

This year, I didn't put up a birdhouse in the garden. Instead I put the food on our terrace: one feeder with seeds in a standard hanging feeder, and the other two with suet balls that I placed in my baking whisks.

The last picture, you can see the male sparrow with a pampas grass in his beak, he was sitting on my wisteria. In the 5th and 6th photos, on the left you can see a pampas grass; birds are collecting it to build their nests.

@adventuresofalgy: Thank you, 😊 💐 yes, it's nice and warm with the tiled stove, and it heats all the way to the top of the house, practical. It's wood-burning; I have a wood-fired oven in the kitchen, and the tiled stove looks like a bench. I like to sit on it when it's warm, or even lie down on it—it's good for my back. I put a blanket for Ginger because the stove stone gets very hot when it's lit. 😊

Have a nice weekend, here we have the Sahara dust crossing the country, mostly in Spring and Autumn, where we lived in the past, each year we had the sky completely orange, quite beautiful to look at but not good for asthma.

Great Tits in the mountains.

The Great Tits are Eurasian birds. We often see them in our garden in Winter coming to eat, but this year I didn't put up a house, I simply hung the food. This little house on my picture is in the Alps. The great tit looks a bit like the Eurasian blue tit, but its head is larger and black instead of blue. Since 2000 there is a small population that can be seen in the US, they are found in Lake Michigan, but those seen in the United States are believed to have come from a release of caged birds in the Chicago area in the early 2000s.

Southern Buttermilk Pie!

Today I made the pie, as I remembered when I lived in Canada, during my travelling in the US, I enjoyed eating pies. I love the Southern cuisine, a rich, comfort-focused culinary tradition rooted in African, Native American, Creole/Cajun and European influences.

Yesterday I posted a picture with the frozen lake. More pictures today. It was nice to walk on the frozen lake but this lake it's not a lake where we can walk easily and often in Winter, it can be very dangerous, it's at our own risk.

My husband went in the restaurant, he didn't come with me as he wasn't wearing the right shoes, it wasn't programmed to go up there, we wanted to go in the mountains village where we lived 4 years ago for the Winter period but because the town in the canton Glarus had carnaval, we couldn't cross the town so we thought, we go up to the lake as my husband was planning to fish but on our surprise the lake was completely covered, full of fresh snow and completely frozen as a few days before, it wasn't yet completely frozen. 

I was like most of the time wearing my mountain shoes, perfect ones with a special sole for alpinists. So I could go walk on the lake but knowing how the lake is and I had to be careful, I walked above the snow and didn't go down where there was only ice. 

I was looking at the people walking, no one except me was wearing the right shoes. 🫣
