Fuck Matlinsworth

On the confession that predicts that Zig will somehow be disabled because of the bus crash when Degrassi comes back. I could definitely see it. And….I actually kind of really want the storyline, because I honestly believe that Ricardo would rock it. Plus, it would be great to see him get a serious storyline all his own. He could be hurt and angry that this happened to him. And there is also how it would affect his relationship with Maya. He has insecurities up the wazoo. Too many of them to count. How would being paralyzed or suffering short term memory loss, having a limp—whatever the case may be, affect that? He could honestly see himself as unworthy of Maya and push her away when she just wants them to be there for each other. She’d be so confused.

Adding onto this, I’d really love to see interaction between Zig and Mrs. Matlin, if that is where the story line goes. They wouldn’t have the same issue, but she does know what it’s like to no longer have the benefit of being able to move around with as much ease as everyone else. It’s a struggle for her. According to Katie, her MS began affecting her at around Katie’s (then) age, in season 11. Zig is that same age now.
