Attempt to assassinate political leader (Amidala) before hostilities broke out (AotC)

Extrajudicial execution of prisoners of war in custody/injured on the battlefield

Actively sending forces to hunt down survivors adrift in escape pods and murder them (S1E2)

Cut describes how shortly after Geonosis his transport was shot down, “...most of us were either dead or severely wounded. So when they [Separatist droids] started working their way through the wounded, killing us off, I knew there was no hope. I ran.” (S2E10 The Deserter)

Handcuffed clone trooper prisoner murdered in cold blood to try to get others to talk (Citadel Arc)

Deliberate testing of indiscriminate incendiary ‘defoliator’ weapon against non-combatants/peaceful colony of Lurmens on Maridun (S1E14, Defenders of Peace)

Biological warfare, Blue Shadow Virus (new airborne variant engineered and placed in bombs for deployment; virus was 96% fatal to ‘organic’ life and killed w/in 48 hours) (S1E17)

Deliberate & explicitly ordered use of captured Ryloth civilians as human shields (Tambor order issued to Tactical droid) (S1E20)

Dooku ordering Hyena-class bombers to carpet bomb civilian populations of Lessu (capital city of Ryloth) as scorched earth tactic to ‘teach a lesson’ to the galaxy about the cost of a Republic victory; prevented at last moment by Republic forces (Liberty on Ryloth)

Looting/stealing cultural artifacts and treasures from occupied populace (Liberty on Ryloth)

Genocide against Nightsisters; Grievous and droid army (S4E19)

Separatist droids deployed to kidnap civilians from Togruta colony on Kyros (and others) to sell into slavery/explicit material and military support for re-ascension of Zygerrian Slave Empire (S4E11-13)

Deliberate targeting of hospital facility - noted as caring for over 60,000 wounded clones (S1E3, Shadow of Malevolence)

Torture prisoners of war

Master Eeth Koth - General Grievous and Magnaguards (Grievous Intrigue)

Master Piell and command team to get hyperlane info (pre-Citadel eps)

Master Ropal captured, tortured, and killed in custody by Separatist droids in attempt to force him to open the holocron containing info about Force sensitive children (S2E2 Cargo of Doom)

It's well documented that pirating books negatively affects authors directly* in a way that pirating movies or TV shows doesn't affect actors or writers, so I will likely always be anti-book piracy unless there's absolutely, positively no other option (i.e. the book simply doesn't exist outside of online archives at all, or in a particular language).

Also, yeah, Libby and Hoopla licenses are really expensive, but libraries buy them SO THAT PATRONS CAN USE THEM. If you're gonna be pissed at anybody about this shitty state of affairs, be pissed at publishing companies and continue to use Libby or Hoopla at your library so we can continue to justify having it to our funding bodies.

One of the best ways to support your library having services you like is to USE THOSE SERVICES. Yes, even if they are expensive.

this is probably going around here like several times, but you can order 4 more free covid tests starting today. if you didn't order any back in september/october (I hadn't heard about it, so I hadn't gotten more tests), you might be able to get up to 8. it just told me 'hey you can get more' and let me do it again, it was very easy to do.

if you're like 'well, I should leave that for people who need it!' don't. order them. stockpile them. the more the program is used, the more likely it is that it will remain a funded program and send the message that covid-19 is still a concern. use the program. there's no needs testing, no nothing, just put in your name and address. if nothing else, you can give a couple to a friend who has a larger family, since it's a per household thing and some people might need more or less, or a mutual aid group in your area, or something. the more people who do this, the more likely they are to keep reupping this program.

Don’t they know that murder is illegal? You just know there are a bunch of homicidal maniacs out there who love to read those stories. They write them, too, in between killing people.

Obi-Wan Kenobi thinks he won’t actually let a gobbler eat Bolla, just maybe scare him into thinking that he would, only a little

Bolla Ropal says this random spoon is his favorite.  All of his friends immediately start trying to steal it.  It’s still sitting in Obi-Wan’s room years later because apparently he won.

Obi-Wan thinks about how these kids he meets on Lenahra are just like the other Jedi younglings he knows because these kids are JUMPING AROUND WITH SUPERPOWERS and basically flinging themselves into the rafters and across the room, this is exactly the way Jedi younglings behave all the time.
