so i found out recently that the yugioh shadow realm literally didn’t exist and it was invented by 4kids for character deaths and i cannot believe they fucking did that to me because as a child i understood that the concept of being sent to suffer alone, forever, in a realm of emptiness was ONE HUNDRED TIMES MORE FUCKING TERRIfYING THAN DEATH i used to think MAN JSUT LET THEM DIE INSTEAD!!!!!!

also can u imagine meeting a yugioh fan from japan and mentioning the shadow ream they’d be like?? ? ? literally an enormous plot point of an internationally known TV show was just made up by 4kids
