“Yeah. I mean for me I’m great in comparison.” She smiles and nods happily

Trent parted his pale pink margins to speak before he’s interrupted by the smaller girl wrapping her arms around his small frame, in return winding his arms around her whilst leaning down to place his chin upon the top of her dyed hair. “I’m glad you are doing better and you’re back.”

“They let me pee without them being right next to me, Trent!” She laughs a bit with happiness

“And, you are fine by yourself now, right? Gotta double check.”

Really? I never had that. Way to be sure, though. Did they make you do the sit, squat and everything? That’s an unfortunate welcoming party.

I don’t understand...

That’s the question a lot of people have been asking here, which I totally agree with, yet the ones who seem to be asking it are the ones who’re completely out of their fuckin’ minds.

I genuinely think I’d also feel much more at home and calm if I got, like, cake. Maybe meringue, you know? With the fancy lemon drizzles? Yeah.

I think I’d rather be in prison than stay in this hell hole another day.

I guess you kind of get the best of both worlds. Mental health institute, and the lack of freedom that makes going to prison ever so enticing. 

Did you know that I favor people that call me dollface? Oh, yeah? Do these “people” happen to be a boy named Nate?

Looks like I’m in luck. I... Huh. Yes. “They” happen to be Nate. 

“When you’re on 24 hour watch you get a bit better. To them at least” 

“24 hours? So even when you’re peeing and stuff? Oh, that’s just... unsanitary.”

Leda smiles as she feels the tightness of the hug and snuggles with Trent’s chest.

But.. {Trent pulls back just enough to glance the smaller girl over with a raised eyebrow.} We’re in an asylum. Surely... not perfect health.

She gasps with excitement to see the tall man “Trent!” she runs up to him to give him a hug with a giant smile. 

It takes Trent a moment to firstly, accept that it really is Leda, and then another second to try and decide if he’s still angry with the girl or not after all this time. He doesn’t even fully process it though, wrapping his long arms around the girl in a tight hug before giving a surprised smile. “Hey! What’re you doing back here?”
