The One Where Ella Is A Princess

âYouâd be the ruler though. Youâd be in charge of everything. Youâd be the one to banish her or whatever. Unless the judge does that, which could quite possibly happen. I mean I canât see how the judge would rule in her favor. The citizens are calling for this. They want you to rule. They want this entire melodramatic movie villain out and they want a true leader.â Cad turned on his side and pulled her towards him, something he was good at. âI love you Ella and I love what you stand for and I love that youâre taking back what is yours. I promise to protect you as your bodyguard and your boyfriend and eventually as your husband if youâll have me. Just know that regardless of what happens tomorrow, I will be on your side and everything will be okay.â
Ella let out a long, slow sigh as she was pulled to Cadâs chest. He was right; there was no sense in worrying about the personal aftermath of the judgeâs decision. Instead, she had to think ahead â to picking up her life, to moving around the globe, to ruling a country. She didnât have time to be afraid, she just had to roll with the punches and take this transition one step at a time. Before Cad could even finish his last sentence, the girl tangled her fingers in his hair and pulled his lips to hers. âI love you, Cad. Thank you for always knowing what to say, even in the most outlandish situations like these. Youâve been my rock through it all â the one person I knew I could always rely on. And I know I couldnât have gotten this far without you.â She smiled, brushing her thumb against his cheek. âBut Iâll really have to give that âmaking you my husbandâ thing some thought. Thatâs a pretty huge step, ya know?â Ella laughed, a playful twinkle in her eye.Â
