you know how sometimes you talk too much just to keep the conversation going and then afterwards you're like, "i don't trust that person at all, why did i say that, that was dumb, now they will use this information against me!" and then you think, "why am i so judgey, maybe they're ok, maybe i'm should give them a chance" but you pick them apart anyway and then you feel doubly bad. and then you scroll through instagram to stop thinking about it but everyone's filtered life looks so much better than yours.

so i thanked him publicly on facebook because people need to know that deep, fulfilling relationships are possible without babies or pda selfies or fancy anniversary dinners or presents or whatever sentimental bullshit gets 60+ likes on facebook these days.
