Lots of hugs for both of u :""""" 🫂
Aight vent time I guess jdjdkdjdjs
Yeah there are people out there who'd ridicule us for liking "childish stuff", and I'm still struggling to deal with them myself jsksksk
Yes, they're cartoons made for kids, I used to think like that myself, tried moving on from the series and find something more "mature" and "normal"
Then something happened irl, got my dream job robbed away from me because something I couldn't control. It broke me mentally, like, it was one of my dream jobs, it was something I loved so much, I worked hard for it, I've been doing great in my position, and then BAM, everything went downhill in an instant.
Then I accidentally got myself back into Cars, and I watched both Planes and Planes F&R for the first time. Watched how Dusty went through similar things. Worked hard for something you're "not meant for" (idk how to explain this one bcs it's family stuff but yea lol), finally reached ur dream, everything seemed fine and ur doing great at it, and the world decided to slap u in the face.
Then I watched how Dusty struggled with the fact that his gearbox was broken, how he struggled with his new job as a firefighter, found a new meaning, and yea he got his gearbox fixed.
F&R motivated me to rise back from my depression, to find a new job, and ended up getting hired. Not my dream job, but hey, it'd work out. Gotta learn to grow, find a new dream related to my current situation, and I'll touch the sky once more. Who knows what's out there waiting for me, but I'll still give it all I've got ✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧
So yeah, who cares if it's a show for kids????? Both Cars and Planes taught me more about life than whatever those "mature shows" could, helped me survive. I don't care if people think I'm weird, Planes is a part of my life now, and I'm not gonna let them take it away from me.
Shaming people for something they like is what makes someone childish tbh 😤
