it appears to me that every reblog and like that doesn't happen strictly from op's original post isn't counted anymore in op's notes and don't show up for op at all, actively decreasing the notes count for the original creators. it's not just reblogs with comments, it's every reblog and every like that are applied on reblogged content rather than the original post from op, i think?
