he watches her place the band-aid, the color doesn’t bother him, but it’s certainly an interesting choice to him. “wow, so if i’d  broken my leg  or anything…say, the bone bursting through muscle and whatever, you’d have just left me bleeding?” humans –  and other creatures  – are so  i n c o n s i d e r a t e. “this seems like backwards logic, but i thank you for your assistance.”

Her  words  illicit  a  laugh,  which in turns causes him to wince, pain radiating from the bruises and cuts on his face. One hand comes up to push hair from his forehead, a shrug.    “I  s–suppose  I  just  have  a  really  punchable  kind  of  face,  h–huh?” 

  “That explains it.” Murray exhales by way of a laugh, relenting and picking up one of the children currently clinging to his leg. “Okay, so, I’m awful with names- I know that’s Dahlia, but who’s this?”
