their first date

“  rich !  “  beverly  is  so  excited  to  see  him  that  if  she  wasn’t  confined  to  this  bed  for  stitches  and  having  a  baby  then  she  would  be  wrapped  around  richie  but  right  now  she  is  so  happy,  glowing  with  pride  and  the  fact  that  she  just  gave  birth  and  she  feels  completely  fine. “  god,  i’m  so  glad  you’re  here.  “  she  is  grinning  wide  and  settles  back  in  her  sheets  and  hospital  bed  staring  at  her  best  friend,  bill  is  in  the  corner  rocking  simon  and  beverly  is  just  so  glad  they  found  time  to  be  together. “  when  did  you  get  in?   do  you  want  to  hold  him?  “  she  is  full  of  questions  and  very  happy  right  now  with  the  drugs  she  is  on,  and  delirious  from  running  on  not  very  many  hours  of  sleep  but  this  is  her  son!  he  was  finally  here. “  bill,  pass  him  over  to  richie,  i  have  got  to  get  a  video  of  this.  “  she  laughs  and  runs  a  hand  through  her  long  red  hair. @trashmouthtm &  @billbeatthedevil​

it felt a bit surreal that two of his very best friends were having a baby and he was actually excited about it. yeah some of his la friends had children, but he had been nowhere near as excited about the births of those kids as he was for simon. that was probably cause simon already felt like a nephew to him. he came into the room with a smile, with it only getting brighter because of how happy she seemed to to be seeing him. “hey bev! you look like you could use a drink.” he chuckled a little so himself and was going to answer her question but then she was asking if he wanted to hold the baby and suddenly he was nervous. he held his hands up and let out a laugh that definitely made it obvious how nervous he was by the idea of holding such a small human, “ha, i don’t know about that... he’s so little.” he looked over at bill with deer caught in the headlights look on his face.  @billbeatthedevil​

it’s  small,  a  lighter,  but  it’s  red  and  has  a  cool  design  on  it,  beverly  looks  down  at  it  for  a  moment  and  just  smiles. her  and  richie  smoked  all  the  time,  it  was  not  a  big  deal,  beverly  smoked  to  combat  the  stress,  and  she  did  not  know  why  richie  smoked  but  it  was  always  fun  to  smoke  a  cigarette  with  him, the  gift  takes  her  by  surprise  and  she  curls  her  fingers  around  it,  nodding  her  head. she  had  to  be  an  asshole  about  it,  at  least  a  little  bit  because  that  is  just  who  she  is. “ is  that  because  we  are  ruining  our  lungs  by  smoking?  but  either  way,  i’ll  cherish  it  forever,  richard.  “  beverly  says  in  her  best  somber  voice  and  she  tucks  the  lighter   away  in  her  overall  pocket,  giving  him  a  bit  of  a  playful  wink  then  moving  to  sit  on  the  hammock. 

he rolled his eyes at her wink and followed her toward the hammock, “no, it made me think of you because i stole it from the pharmacy.” the day beverly stole for them to help ben was a day he felt he could never forget. he shrugged his shoulders, “but that works too i suppose.”

Lost all my WIPS so I made some chicken noodle bevchie friendship for my broken soul

“How many is coming to this wedding anyway?” Bill’s voice pulled him from his thoughts and prompted Eddie to pull out a list to hand to him with some info. “They’re rich. It’s probably all of Chicago,” Eddie shrugged.

Even though it was windy and water kept spraying up on him, he stayed up on the top deck of the ferry because he was the type to get very sea sick. Eventually the ferry was able to dock at the harbor and he managed to not get sick once. As he stepped off the boat, his eyes of course immediately landed on Eddie, making him stop dead in his tracks. He forced himself to look away and start walking again toward him and Bill. Once he reached the two of them, he set his duffle bag down and greeted Bill with a hug--which he immediately regretted because that meant he would have to hug Eddie as well to not make things awkward. “Hey guys,” was spoken as he pulled away from hugging Bill to then give Eddie a hug. He let out a soft chuckle as he moved away from Eddie, “I know you must be excited to see me but you didn’t have to come all the way to the harbor to greet me.” He gave Bill a playful pat on the shoulder then.
