FAQs:
Are any of these characters canonically trans? No, that's why this poll is able to exist. If there was a canonically trans character that would be the obvious choice. However, several characters have a lot of trans swag or meta-narrative transgender readings, so it's gonna be a tough competition.
Why didn't you include Hammond? Two reasons: Hammond makes an odd number of heroes for the bracket, and he's a hampster which doesn't experience gender. Third secret reason is that I really hate him for personal reasons.
It's not fair to do [x matchup]! I seeded the bracket to be as fair as possible based on market research in the tumblr and ao3 tags for each character. As the competition continues, there will necessarily be some hard choices.
But both characters are trans! Yes, probably, but this is a competition. There is a definitive Most Transgender Overwatch Hero and this tournament is set on deciding that hero.
