I’m in the same boat. I spent the first years on T being too lazy / scared to workout. But doing so has been such a great thing for my mental health. Even before seeing results, it’s a good feeling knowing you’re working towards a more masculine appearance instead of just lying in bed in a puddle of dysphoria. Also, a healthy habit does in fact improve mental health to a certain extent.

And to all the big boys out there, don’t be afraid to go to the gym. You’ll actually have an easier time gaining muscle than a lanky dude like me who struggles with bulking. Don’t be afraid of others—I tend to go to the gym really early or really late to avoid a crowd. But even then, nobody will be looking at you.
